There are many advantages in writing Torah novellas, advantages in the methods of study themselves, also in the satisfaction that the students have, and in the memorization of things. In writing, there are many levels and different styles, but first and foremost when studying a subject, when writing the summary of the methods and the calculations of the methods, the calculations of the shekel and tarya in the first ten, and so on, the subject becomes clearer and more refined and like a term in a box.

Of course, it is customary in yeshivahs to write Torah novellas, and this is how the important young men have always done it. There are also different styles in this, but one must be aware that one understands what one is writing, and writes in a way that others can understand. This is a real test to check the novella, or the difficulties and evidence that are raised, whether they are understood or not. There are those who can also establish a fellowship to write together, when two people write together, and each brings his part, this develops the Torah novellas in a special way.

There is another thing that is very necessary in the ways of study, one should also write short notes, or a short proof here and there, it can be a specific topic or a scholarly investigation, and in studying for years, one finds more proof and more evidence and more questions, and after that an entire pamphlet can come out of this topic.

I wish all the young men who are working on writing their studies, that they will be blessed to study in the evenings and in the evenings.
