OPINION PIECE: Think Carefully About This!

IT IS SO EASY TO JUMP AT THE HEADLINES AND CONDEMN OUR BNEI TORAH WITHOUT DOING THE HOMEWORK TO FIND OUT THIS WAS A CONTRIVED AND DELIBERATE PROVOCATION CREATED BY THE HANDLERS OF THE GIRLS SENT INTO BNEI BRAK.

Little do we realize, however, that this was a "set up" a deliberate PROVOCATION in the making just to induce an incident in order to excite and arrest more Haredim, which they did, and most of these were BY-STANDERS.

ALSO IN HEADLINES:  Senior Rabbis came out and condemned the protest and urged the Bystanders to stay away from these incidents; and Bnei Torah to stay in the Beis Medrash where they belong.

ALSO IN HEADLINES:  Litvish Rabbis came out and accused the current "music concert culture" and banned them. One can extrapolate that this 'concert culture'  creates the emotion of religious incitement within Bnei Torah; which could be contributing to the "religious excitement on the streets" being in defense of true religious values. These Rabbis have given far-reaching vision in their ban.

ALSO: thank you tomerdevorah read her Clarification of Hillul Hashem

About the girls:  they didn't want to enter but commanders insisted, thereby causing this PROVOCATION so the police could enter and arrest.

PLEASE do more homework and control the urge to blame our Bnei Torah despite what the eyes see which may not be what is really the "back story."

Sage wisdom. Separate from the fanatics, give the cops room to work and remove the possibility for viewers of the video footage to interpret the incident as a mass riot.

I'm rather alarmed at this whole "provocation" talk. It's very similar to the excuses we heard when the Arabs run amok. They were just responding to "provocations". The Arabs love complaining about "provocations". Why is it only after running amok, do people realize they were merely provoked? And how does one tell the difference between deliberate provocation, ham-fisted incompetence, or routine procedure interpreted in a the worst possible light?
(It also evokes the kind of profession damage control that PR firms engage in. For example, Bill Clinton's PR firm turned his scandalous behavior into the story about the vast right-wing conspiracy out to "get" the president. Was yesterday's incident about rioting fanatics and the negligent destruction of תפילין, or was it about a vast Zionist conspiracy to "get" the Charedi community?)
As far חילול השם goes, it's important to understand that many actions fall under that category. Please see רמב"ם , יסודי התורה הלכות י-יא and see if applies to yesterday's violence.
