Lying with statistics.
He is inflating the numbers by adding up all the number over a 15 year period.
He is also ignoring the fact that there are several more times non-Orthodox than the Haredim.
So his metric is dishonest.
If we normalize his numbers, his "shocking" figures are rather underwhelming.
100,000 divided by 15 (years) = 6667.
Compare 43% secular (if we include non-religious it's 68%) to Haredim: 8% = 5.375
6667 / 5.375 = 1240
(These numbers are not that relevant! The percentages are for the general population, not for draft age. Adjustments should be made)
In other words, the 100,000 secular over 15 years is the equivalent of 1240 Haredim. There are some 80,000 Haredim eligible for service. 1240 are about 1.6%. How does Sheftel account for the other 98.4%? (Again, these figures would need to be adjusted.)
Why are you defending the "Psych" Deferrment of so many Chilonim? Are you of the secular persuasion? Do you support this evasion of Zionist State Protocols??
It wasn't a defense, just a rejection of Sheftel's questionable statistic. I showed that his numbers don't add up to much. Please stick to the point.
