IDF Draft is a *Red Herring

ONLY .......GEULAH, MEAH SHEARIM, and BEIT SHEMESH???
that’s some real transparency!

The IDF Draft is a Red Herring

Plus a creepy measles video from Ezrat Achim, and an important message

In this week’s Torah class we learned about the prohibition of taking a bribe that is specifically directed at the wisest and most righteous people — the people we would least suspect of being susceptible to bribery — the guaranteed deleterious effects of taking a bribe of any kind, and how careful Chazal were to refrain from adjudicating when they received even a trivial favor from someone.

Is your rabbi driving under the influence?

Are you?

That was only part one. In part two we demolished the kofrim and generally ignorant, agenda-driven loudmouths who spew nonstop vitriol about “draft dodgers”, milchemes mitzvah, the supposed obligation for everyone to “serve”, share the burden, etc.

We need to be armed with fundamental Torah teachings to expose the fraudulence and intellectual dishonesty of these provocateurs, and limit the ability of those who hijack and corrupt the Torah to mislead and divide the people.

In addition to various pertinent Torah sources on the subject I shared an incredible historical account from Josephus about Yehuda Maccabi in his wars against the Greeks.

In brief, at one point the Jews in Eretz Yisrael were under attack by an overwhelming army and were truly under existential threat. Unlike today, there was indisputably a mitzvah to fight.

But instead of drafting everyone, hunting down deserters, and insisting even grooms and brides join the war effort (a source the phonies love to hijack), Yehuda led a teshuva movement, gave an impassioned speech in which he quoted from this week’s parsha, then sent home the vast majority of his men (no women were there to begin with, of course).

The result was that he was left with a severe manpower shortage, though, as Torah-minded Jews, that wasn’t part of the conversation.

How do you think it turned out?

We don’t decide halacha from Josephus, but the self-proclaimed intellectuals don’t really decide halacha from Chazal, anyway, and the historical source is most illuminating. I read through it in today’s class, and hope you will add it to your repertoire and share it with others.

We need to take more control of the conversation already.

Another conversation we need to control is the one about the measles outbreak that threatens all of humanity (or, as it seems, just haredim and anti-vaxxers).

Here’s a really creepy video from Ezrat Achim (Ramat Beit Shemesh) Chairman Avrami Kopp, Municipal Health Officer Yona Kaufman, and Ezrat Achim Projects Manager Aharon Ellis, as they call on the public to get vaccinated and save lives:

Interesting hand symbol there.

If you want to live, come get vaccinated.”

Is that part of the script now, or did he ad-lib it?

This meme is worth a thousand words:

If the measles plague were such a serious threat, Bibi would be at the Kotel with his tallis and a camera crew.

Meanwhile, the state’s media hacks are in full blood libel mode. Here’s a lovely exhibit from Haaretz, with predictable comments.

Here’s something funny that no one seems to have thought of. If the measles is basically just spreading among "haredim" and anti-vaxxers, shouldn't the haters be celebrating? They consider these two populations the absolute worst human beings on earth, the only people one is allowed and supposed to hate, an existential threat to all humanity. So why not cheer for them to get measles and die? Why vaccinate them at all? Why push so hard to get them vaccinated?

Do they suddenly have an urgent desire to save these dangerous parasites and the far too many children they have? Is there genuine caring and concern for haredim behind all the vitriol and calls to strangulate them? Are they really living in fear that their own, presumably vaccinated children, will die from measles?

Or is this just another red herring, and just another determined effort by the Erev Rav to wage war on the Jewish people from within, with blood libels and shiny injections tailor-made for the people they hate the most?

Surely they know that most people are no longer interested in their shots, yet they are making a full court press to push the measles scare and vaccines. Think about how much money and manpower they are pouring into this. For what? How many religious children do they expect to poke with their needles? A few hundred? It won’t be tens of thousands.

They know this but they are pulling out all the stops anyway. It’s worth it for them.

Amalek targets the stragglers, the people who are most weak and vulnerable (Devarim 25:18). It’s worth it for them. This is what they live for.

Isn’t it high time we all stopped trusting creepy, dishonest, clearly corrupted monsters — even if they look and sound like us?

Isn’t it time we stopped supporting their institutions, stopped turning to their media (even the free “haredi” newspapers they stick in your mailbox), and stopped allowing them to poison our minds and our bodies?

I hope you will share this information with people outside your echo chamber. Amalek and the Erev Rav invest so much in “outreach”.

We need to try harder, too.

What a joke! If people only knew some history, let alone, recent history (within the last 50 -100 yrs), they would know that measles is considered one
of those childhood diseases which parents just a few decades ago knew what to do, before there was this insane mass pharmaceutical takeover of the medical profession. In fact, when a child was coming down with measles, the child was purposely sent to friends so that the children would get the measles because, it was easily cured (at a young age) and better to get that
illness when young. We know, there are always vulnerable and weak children,
who need more special care with anything medical. But the general public
did not have any problems with measles, no more than the chicken pox, the cough illnesses, etc.
Along comes these new vaccines and medication because the poor pharmaceutical companies, doctors, etc. have to eat! They need to make billions instead of millions.
