The Mystery of Hystery Seminar

BETWEEN 1930 AND 1939, Jews were offered the opportunity to leave Germany for Palestine with most of their possessions. In an unprecedented agreement between enemies called the "Haavarah Agreement," the ruling Nazi Party (without the blessing of Hilter, ysv"z) agreed to the request of Zionist organizations of that time to allow Jews to emigrate. At that time, the Germans only spoke of making their country Judenrein.

Of the 160,000 Jews living in Germany, only 60,000 accepted the offer and emigrated to Palestine, their families remaining here to this day. The remaining 100,000 German Jews chose to stay “home,” claiming to be "just as German as the next German.” All of them died in the Holocaust.

On the other side of the war, the only President to run for office more than two terms was Franklin Delano Roosevelt (1933-45). He was elected for his final term in 1944 but died shortly after in 1945 because his health had seriously and steadily declined during the war years.

In his previous term, Henry A. Wallace had been FDR's running mate and Vice President. He switched to Harry S. Truman for the 1944 election, which put Truman in line to become President of the most powerful nation just as the Jewish People proclaimed statehood in Eretz Yisroel. It was Truman—driven by Torah prophecy and against the advice of his own State Department—who pushed members of the UN to vote in favor of the renewed Jewish State.

Jewish History, or Jewish Mystery?

You can’t argue with the past, but you can question it. You can look at it closely and notice its anomalies, and wonder why and how they occurred. You have to, especially as a Jew. Our future safety as individuals and as a nation depends upon it.

Not all the answers are obvious, but many of them are available, if you care to look, and know where. In a two-part series called “The Mystery of Jewish Hystery,” we’ll take that look. The answers will de-mystify a lot of that mystery, and alter the way you look at life, Divine Providence, and the current direction of history…hopefully just in time.
