Rabbi Weissman – Sanity From Rav Moshe Feinstein - Part Two

This week's Torah class is a Purim special on the topic of whether we should celebrate the destruction of the wicked.  The recording is available at https://rumble.com/v2bdlzs-r-and-b-torah-fellowship-48-should-we-celebrate-the-destruction-of-the-wick.html.

More important information on Asher Weiss and his ilk follows the article.

Sanity From Rav Moshe Feinstein – Part Two

We've been browbeaten the last few years by authoritarians and those who lick their boots. They sneer at those who have the audacity to evaluate information for themselves, to seek information beyond what the authoritarians curate for them, and to decide for themselves what is best for them. We aren't experts, they proclaim, as if anything less than an expert (one certified by and in good standing with these very people, of course) can possibly have anything to contribute to the discussion.

We must trust these people and we must obey them. They get a blank check like even the prophets of yore never enjoyed. After all, unlike the prophets, they have “data”.

Although the authoritarians commissioned many religious figureheads to put a pseudo-Torah spin on their propaganda, the true Torah position is squarely against them. This is why they refuse to engage anyone who challenges their rhetoric, and must be protected by layers of interference lest anyone expose them for the charlatans they are.

In one of Asher Weiss's directives on the subject, which was heavy on melodramatic language but devoid of the Torah substance we would expect of a posek, he declared that “we must be more severe than the health authorities in Israel and the world”. Of all the many radical, dubious statements Weiss has made regarding our supposed obligations to undergo medical treatments against our better judgment – or even our right to have a better judgment – this statement is particularly stunning.

After all, Weiss and his ilk frequently admonish us that the Torah obligates us to trust the medical establishment, whatever that may be (presumably, those who employ, fund, and promote him). These unidentified authorities, over whom we the people have no control, no right to disobey, and no ability to even challenge, are to be given sovereignty over our bodies and our lives. If they say a drug is safe, we must believe them. If they give us an order, we are obligated to follow them and compel others to do the same.

Yet in this letter Weiss said that we must be even more stringent than these same authorities. To this extent we are allowed and even obligated to deviate from what the “experts” tell us; suddenly we are allowed to freelance!

But Weiss doesn't provide any Torah-based or science-based guidelines for this decree that he invented. How much more stringent than the “experts” are we obligated to be? How much more stringent are we allowed to be, and at what cost? Weiss doesn't say, because it's all a fabrication.

Not only is it a fabrication, it is a lie built upon a lie, for the very claim that some “health authority” can impose its will on the masses – let alone perfectly healthy people who have no need or desire for their services – is a fabrication.

Not only is that a fabrication, but the very notion that a doctor – any doctor – can impose his will on any individual who is not his patient, and with whose condition he is not personally familiar, is a fabrication.

Furthermore, even if a doctor is personally familiar with a patient's condition, and the patient has granted the doctor permission to diagnose and treat him, the doctor does not have a blank check to impose his treatment of choice on the patient.

Furthermore, a doctor never has the authority to impose a medical treatment on an individual – which in all cases exposes him to an element of danger – for the presumed benefit this might provide to someone else. The Erev Rav can wax poetic all they want about the obligation to care about other people – which is a perfectly fine concept – but if we are talking actual halacha, with context and clearly defined boundaries, they are holding an empty bag. This is why they depend on the ignorance and compliance of the masses, and refuse to take serious questions. The few Torah sources they cherry-pick and take grossly our of context are a fig leaf for their corruption.

But enough about Weiss and his fake Torah. Let's learn from a truly great rabbi, Rav Moshe Feinstein, whose wisdom and integrity can guide us.

In Igros Moshe Even Ha'ezer 1:3 he discusses the case of a woman who, due to a medical condition, was unable to be intimate with her husband. The husband claimed that she was a rebellious wife and sought an allowance to take another wife, while being relieved of his financial responsibilities to this one. The doctors declared that the woman's condition was caused by infidelity, which, if they were to be trusted, would support the husband's claim against her.

Those who are interested in the particulars of the case can look it up, but what is most relevant for our discussion is the following comment from Rav Moshe in his response:

והוא באופן שאין לחשוד להרופאים שידוע שיש רופאים שיש לחושדם לשקר בשחד לטובת הבעל וגם לטעות ואף שסומכין עלהם בהרבה דברים הנוגעים לאיסורים אין לסמוך בדבר הנוגע לאחרים להרע להם וגם יש בזה חיובי ממון שעל זה צריך עדים כשרים וידיעה ברורה

And this is in a situation when there is no reason to suspect the doctors, for it is known that there are doctors who can be suspected to lie for a bribe for the benefit of the husband, and also to make a mistake. And even though we rely on them in many matters that pertain to prohibitions, we cannot rely on them on matters that pertain to others to harm them. There is also in this case a monetary obligation [against the wife], for which we require kosher witnesses and clear knowledge.

Rav Moshe takes it for granted that doctors are human beings, who are susceptible to the same moral failings, errors in judgment, gaps in knowledge, and sloppy performance as anyone else. While we must consult doctors at times and give a degree of weight to their opinions (which varies based on the doctor and circumstances) it is nothing like the master/follower relationship that the establishment and its religious shills seek to impose on us.

This is especially true when a doctor's assessment of a condition would render someone a criminal and cause him a monetary loss. In this case, Rav Moshe noted that we cannot trust the doctors' assessment of the origins of the wife's medical condition, for that would cause her to forfeit her kesuba (marriage contract). Rav Moshe also did not discount the possibility of the husband and the doctors conspiring to arrive at a desired conclusion, with compensation for the service.

Apparently Rav Moshe Feinstein was a conspiracy theorist. Or, more likely, he understood the reality of human behavior and how the world works.

Today's “leading” rabbis, none of whom could hold a candle to Rav Moshe's knowledge and piety, have argued that we must disregard the possibility that “the experts” might make critical errors (deliberately or otherwise) or take bribes to arrive at certain conclusions. According to these rabbis, anyone who entertains such “theories” should be called vicious names, canceled, and even treated like a murderer.

These rabbis further claim that the establishment has the right to financially penalize people, destroy their livelihoods, criminalize upstanding people, and treat them like terrorists, based on the opinions of handpicked medical “authorities”. If a doctor says some people might get sick if we allow other people to go outside, for example, then the government has the right to imprison their citizens however they see fit, regardless of the financial and other harm this causes them. And if someone does get sick, the “authorities” can decide for themselves that someone caused that person to be sick, and penalize them however they see fit.

Contrary to Torah law, as clearly articulated by Rav Moshe Feinstein, neither kosher witnesses nor clear knowledge are required. The doctor does not only assess a patient's medical condition, and suggest a course of treatment, but his opinion carries greater weight than kosher witnesses, clear knowledge, and even a prophet.

Why? Because they say so, and rabbis who are commissioned for this very purpose speak falsely in the name of the Torah.

If Rav Moshe Feinstein were alive today, there is no doubt he would stridently oppose these purveyors of fake Torah. Unfortunately there is no one today who can come close to filling Rav Moshe's shoes, but, inadequate as we are, we must fight the battle for truth that is before us.

The Torah is squarely on our side. True gedolim like Rav Moshe Feinstein are squarely on our side. We don't need to invent novel interpretations of the Torah to make our case; that's for the Erev Rav. We just need to say it like it is, and spread true Torah to all who are willing to listen.

It will be easy enough for them to tell the difference.

The following quote comes from a hagiographic article about Asher Weiss in Ami Magazine in 2021.  This is a good time to remind you that we previously exposed Ami Magazine for working hand in hand with the government to infiltrate the Orthodox world with propaganda.  Weiss is part of the rabbinic propaganda wing, and Ami is part of the media wing. They are all connected, all work together, and all serve the interests of those who seek to destroy us.

See the articles exposing Ami here and here and share them widely; everyone needs to know about this, and take action accordingly.

Here is the quote:

I attempt to get the rav to share his perspective on how he gained such a broad appeal. Rav Asher grins and gently admonishes me, “Do you expect me to say that I deliver the best shiurim? But I do believe that if one focuses on giving over Torah lishmah without agenda or politics and simply tries to bring out the emes and the beauty of Torah, people from every walk of life will flock to hear and accept that Torah.”

I will let you decide if Asher Weiss "focuses on giving over Torah lishmah without agenda or politics and simply tries to bring out the emes".

Here is the wretched Blimi Marcus (how has she not been formally excommunicated?) quoting her teammate, Asher Weiss, at the Chemed conference (another organization of moles and mosrim that should be treated accordingly).  See more here.

Rabbi Winston – Tetzaveh-Zachor

Who knows how many Germans that Hitler, ysv”z, sent to their deaths in the name of his ego? The Nazis could have surrendered earlier, and might have, had Heir Hitler not insisted on pretending that there was still hope for his Third Reich…just to keep his own ego inflated.

Then again, it was ego that helped to push Hitler to war in the first place, a world war that eventually caused the death of 72 million people, including the systematic death of six million plus Jews from across Europe. It had been a young and brash Hitler who had a terrible time accepting the defeat of Germany in World War I, and the humiliating terms of surrender imposed upon the Weimar Republic (even though he was born Austrian).

Ego is important for self-confidence and productivity, but too much of it destroys a person and usually others around them. A lot of “others” around them, especially if the egotist is devious enough to make it seem as if they are fighting the “good fight,” and on behalf of good people. That’s the Erev Rav for you, deception the entire way, taking advantage of the intellectually and emotionally vulnerable.

That’s only one part of the destructive equation. We have known world peace, more or less, for a long time now in the West. Even in Israel, it has been relatively quiet, thank G–d, enough that most have forgotten wartime. A lack of wartime death usually results in a reduced appreciation of life, and more liberal values. Wars tend to make people more conservative in outlook.

Another part of the equation is technology. Personally, I love and enjoy technology, but I also see the negative effect it has had on an entire generation. There is a certain amount of spiritual desensitization that has accompanied it, and dumbing down as well. Empowerment is a double-edged sword, leaving many intellectual and emotionally vulnerable.

If this can be true even of people who still believe in G–d and in absolute morality, then it is certainly true about those who don’t. A person might deny the existence of G–d and of their soul, but they can’t deny their decision making process. We can’t help but make decisions based upon what we personally think is “good” or “bad,” and if a person doesn’t believe in an absolute version of both, then both can only be personal opinion. Hitler also thought he was doing mankind a favor, and there are still a lot of people who agree with him.

The ironic thing is how selfish people can band together when they have a common cause. It’s not that they care about each other. It’s more that helping one another means getting what they want more expediently. It’s a common selfish desire that (temporarily) unifies them, something the Torah calls, “b’leiv echad k’ish echad,” with a single heart and like a single person, a very Amalekian approach to life.

Purim is about the opposite. It is not called Kabbalas HaTorah, Part 2, for no reason. At Mt. Sinai, to receive Torah, we had to achieve the opposite of k’ish echad b’levi echad, to become like a single person with a single heart. Selfish people have a difficult time accepting Absolute Truth because of the obvious implications. So G–d sent in Amalek to humble us in preparation for receiving Torah. Nothing protects against Amalek better than humility, which is the acceptance of G–d’s truth.

BUT I PREACH to the choir, no? Can you can’t talk to egotistical people about dissenting opinions? Remember Pharaoh? Even after his own people told him, “Hey, this Moshe fella might be right. It might actually be G–d Who is destroying our country,” Pharaoh held out. There’s a wall of ego that truth just bounces off.

It is not ironic that Parashas Zachor coincidences with Parashas Tetzaveh, because a kohen, and how much more so the Kohen Gadol, is supposed to be the antithesis of Amalek. A kohen is supposed to give his life over to the service of G–d and on behalf of the Jewish people. It doesn’t get much more selfless than that.

Furthermore, kohanim are supposed to be rodeif shalom, peace-pursuers, not war mongers like Amalekians, past and present. And if they ever reverse that role, like Pinchas ben Elazar ben Aharon HaKohen did when he killed Zimri, it would be to uphold Torah values, not tear them down. As the Torah testifies, Pinchas was zealous on behalf of G–d, not against Him, as Amalekians are. Before someone opposes Torah values they should make sure they aren’t from G–d, not just assume it.

As mentioned in an earlier Perceptions, it was an eyeopener for me to learn how our fast day, the 10th of Teves, was a day of celebration for the Iraqis for the same reason we mourn. While we recall Nebuchadnetzar’s successful attack against Jerusalem with sadness, they celebrate it. Nebuchadnetzar was our enemy, but he was their hero, and still is even thousands of years later.

The same thing is true today all over the world. One person’s hero is another’s enemy, and often for the same reasons, depending upon each person’s value system. A religious person sees those who wish to limit or abolish Torah laws as the enemy. A secular person trying to catch up with the rest of the secular world sees it just the opposite way. Who is right? What is the truth?

Peeling away all the heated emotions usually reveals the driving force behind each group. The non-religious side might argue that they are fighting for what they believe is right, but based upon what? What the rest of the secular world thinks? And that opinion is based upon what ultimate value? They may be the majority, but so were they in Noach’s time…until the Flood came along.

The religious side is full of opinions as well, but the core driving force is not an opinion. It is a belief that G–d is real and Torah is His truth, His absolute non-negotiable truth. They too have a yetzer hara with desires and which barks out orders, but at the end of the day, they know they have to answer for capitulating to it.

That said, then there are really only two possibilities. Either the Torah world is correct, and everyone else only thinks they are right and entitled based upon ignorance and subjugation to a yetzer hara they don’t even know they have. Or, the Torah world is delusional, and it is imposing its world on others with no justification. If the latter is true, then there can only be war and the strongest will win. If the former is true, and the secular world doesn’t come around, it will have to be resolved by G–d Himself. Is that why the world is shaking?

IF YOU DON’T believe in the Torah as G–d-given, and you have problem with its account of history, then the story of the Flood is no threat. Since the stories of Purim and Chanukah are part of the Oral Law, which many outside Orthodox circles do not trust, they can’t be relied upon as signs of Divine involvement in the affairs of man. Hester panim, G–d’s hiding of His providence, makes history murky at best, and easy for Amalek to do his thing and mislead man.

Can billions of people be so wrong, and only a handful get it?

That’s a good question, with an even better answer, if you’re willing to go the full distance to get to it. The fullest answer means learning some Kabbalah, and that’s something you can really only do after you have learned a certain amount of the levels before it. Anyone can read the words, but only a G–d-fearing person gets to know what they really mean:

The secrets of G–d to those who fear Him. (Tehillim 25:14)

Nevertheless, one thing is for sure, it is a mistake to think that you can’t know the truth about the Truth, as Amalek would have many believe. It’s like someone saying that good food no longer exists because it stopped being delivered to their door, and they’re not prepared to go out and find it. The fundamental reason why people believe in Torah, and others do not, is because the former has the knowledge and the latter does not. It is because the latter is not prepared to go after that knowledge.

It’s not imaginary truth, as Amalek says. It’s not made-up knowledge, as the yetzer hara likes to argue. It’s real, and here, as many ba’alei teshuvah have found out for themselves, willingly and unwillingly. Some religions may exist only on blind faith. But Torah Judaism, as G–d Himself told us, is something you can be SHOWN to KNOW that there is none other than G–d.

But there are two parts to this knowing. The first is you have to want to know, and the second is, you have to be willing to go in pursuit of that knowledge. The Gemora assumes that a person does not like to live with doubt, but it is amazing how they are willing to so when the doubt allows them to live the life of the yetzer hara. It’s quite Amalekian.

When this is the case, compromise does not seem possible between the two sides. Neither side seems able to give up too much to calm the situation down, the religious side because they fight for G–d-given values, and the secular side beside they want to live the unrestricted life to which they believe they are entitled. How will all this end, and when?

Ain Od Milvado, Part 41

WHEN MOSHE RABBEINU led the counterattack against Amalek, what did he think? To the average soldier fighting the battle below (Moshe was up on a hill overseeing the action), there was only the enemy. He was human and had a will of his own. He was armed and had a desire to kill or be killed. He warred against G–d, so G–d was obviously on their side. What more was there to know.

But how did it appear to Moshe Rabbeinu? Ain od Milvado meant that Amalek had no power of his own, which meant G–d was giving Amalek what he needed to fight the Jewish people. We may have hated Amalek and were disgusted by them, but they were G–d’s Creation, part of a world that G–d not only made, but He controls. Unless He says so, Amalek doesn’t exist. Unless G–d says so, Amalek doesn’t fight. So who do we really fight against when we fight against the “enemy”?

It’s easy to forget. It’s easy to get distracted. Here’s one example of someone who didn’t:

[The Romans] sent Neron Caesar against the Jews. When he came [to Jerusalem], he shot an arrow to the east and it fell in Jerusalem…to the west and it also fell in Jerusalem. He shot an arrow in all four directions, and each fell in Jerusalem. He said to a child: “Tell me a verse.”

He told him: “‘And I will lay My vengeance upon Edom by the hand of My people Israel’ (Yechezkel 25:14).”

He said: “The Holy One, Blessed be He, wishes to destroy His Temple, and to wipe his hands with that man [who does it].”

So he fled and became a convert, and Rebi Meir descended from him. (Gittin 56a)

For some reason, this Roman, a gentile, was able to see past his human enemy and instead see G–d. He then chose to not carry out what he had been sent by his superiors to do, and instead fled to the very side he had been sent to destroy. He realized that he became his own worst enemy if he ignored the Divine signs, and did the unthinkable for a Roman general.

Yes, the Jewish people have enemies, and yes many of those enemies exist within the Jewish people these days. But part of Parashas Zachor is to recall not just what Amalek did to us, but Who sent Amalek in the first place, G–d Himself. It was part of the process to prepare the Jewish people to receive Torah by first humbling them.

G–d sent Haman too, also as part of the process of Kabbalas HaTorah, Part 2. It was mostly to bring out something in the Jewish people that needed to be brought out of us at that time, a potential whose time for actualization has arrived. If it wasn’t for the crises, we might never accomplish very much in life or grow spiritually.

We may not be able to figure out what’s on G–d’s mind, what He wants from us individually or as a nation at any given time. But by at least being open to the idea that He wants something from us…for our own good…and that this is what is driving history at the moment, is usually enough to get the Heavenly help we need to go the next step, as Purim came to teach us. Purim Samayach.

Rabbi Kahana: Tetzaveh – Time for Heart to Heart Talk

BS”D Parashat Tetzaveh 5783
by Rabbi Nachman Kahana | Mar 2, 2023

It’s Time for a Heart-to-Heart Talk

King Shlomo, son of King David, states in Kohelet (chap. 3) that every human act and emotion, as opposite as they might be, has its proper and befitting time.

People rarely have time for a good heart-to-heart talk with themselves, and just live according to the flow of their lives; but now the time has come for each conscious Jew to have a frank talk with him or herself, for two reasons.

1– If you haven’t yet noticed, the 8 billion people in today’s world, including the Jewish nation, are living on a seam in history; a seam that joins or, if you wish, divides between the tectonic plates of mankind: the past and the future. It is not the result of human malice or stupidity, but the handiwork of HaShem, with the proof being the reality that no intelligent person would gamble on his credibility by predicting where humanity is heading.

Will Europe erupt again into another world war, possibly a nuclear one? Will the nations lose their minds and every country will be at war with its neighbor? Will there be a breakup of the United States as it rips itself apart by shedding every bit of morality still left there? Will the “haves” financially enslave the “have nots”? And will the future of mankind be in the hands of a few powerful bankers?

  • In our Jewish universe the dilemmas are:
  • Will the United Nations lose its patience with the nuisance country called Israel and vote that we no longer exist?
  • Will the number of Jews worldwide dwindle from millions into the thousands as assimilation decays and destroys Jewish communities in the galut?
  • Will the Moslems attempt to gain their god’s love by killing Jews in the manner suggested by Haman and nearly implemented in our time by the son of Alois Schicklgruber (Hitler’s father)?

These are but a few of life’s probabilities, but the possibilities go beyond human imagination.

2– We are repeating the sins of our fathers in the Persia of Achashverosh where there was widespread assimilation that brought on the nearly fatal heavenly decrees. Even after over 78 years since the end of World War II, our nation has not returned to the 17 to 18 million Jews who lived at the outbreak of the war. Assimilation is the second Shoah to have befallen the Jewish nation within the past 90 years. So, it is time for every thinking Jew to have a frank conversation with himself to clarify ‘who am I” by asking the following questions:

Question number 1: How can I know if HaShem loves me, is indifferent towards me or, God forbid, bears negative feelings towards me?

This is a complex question when taking into account that if life is very good to you it could be an indication that HaShem is indeed satisfied with you. Or it could be just the opposite; that HaShem rewards a rasha (evil person) in this world for the few mitzvot that he has performed rather than rewarding him in the next world, the treatment that is reserved for tzadikim (the righteous). On the other hand, if life is very demanding, it could be a sign that HaShem is punishing you, or that He really loves you and is punishing you in this world rather than in the next.

But happily, the illustrious Rabbeinu Tam (Rabbi Yaakov ben Meir, grandson of Rashi and a leader of the Tosafot school of Talmudic commentators) taught that there is a sign that proves HaShem’s love for an individual Jew. When he or she is privileged to perform an unusual or uncommon mitzva, like saving a Jewish life, or helping a disabled person, or any one of the uncommon mitzvot in the Torah.

Like the privilege of living in Eretz Yisrael in today’s challenging times. This is a sign that HaShem wants you to be by His side.

An example: In the days preceding the Six Day War many people left the country out of fear, including some from the Chassidic community where we were living at the time . A neighbor, Mr. Moshe Parnes z”l, told us of his resolve to remain – no matter what. The war broke out on the 26th of Iyar and on the 28th we became the sovereign possessors of Yerushalayim, for the first time in over 2000 years! The following week Mr. Parnes returned from a visit to Yerushalayim and told us of the greatest joy he had ever experienced. He was walking on Rechov Yafo when a truck filled with young paratroopers stopped nearby. The soldiers exited from the truck and began dancing and singing songs of Yerushalayim. A group of soldiers approached the elderly Mr. Parnes and drew him into their circle where he found new strength to go round and round with paratroopers 60 years younger than him. Hashem had shown his love to this old-young Moshe Parnes.

Question number 2: If 200 years ago all Jews in the world would have been on your spiritual level would there be any Jews alive today?

An authentic, serious God-fearing Torah-observing man or woman could proudly answer today in the affirmative, because their spirituality would most likely have been steady enough to sustain the necessary spiritual energy to entrust to future generations.

But, if all the Jews 200 years ago were non-observant, there is little reason to believe that there would be a single Jew alive today. Something to think about!!

Question number 3: On the premise that when HaShem created the world, for reasons known only to Himself, and filled it with races and nations, and He chose a particular family that later expanded into a nation that He commanded to abide by His Torah, He did not intend for the Jews to be “one more” Norway or Sudan (whose greatest achievement is to have their national flag hanging before the UN building in New York), He wanted a God-orientated nation whose level of righteousness and sanctity begins where the gentile level ends; a nation sanctified by HaShem.

Now, look objectively into yourself. Is your life one of obedience to the Torah and loyal affiliation with the tens of millions of Jews who for 3500 years have observed the Judaism which we received at Mount Sinai?

The future of the Jews as a nation will depend on the combined spiritual level of each of its individual parts. Every Jew makes a difference!

Shabbat Shalom

Reb Neuberger: Tetzavah – PURIM “LIGHT AND GLADNESS, JOY AND HONOR!”

“LIGHT AND GLADNESS, JOY AND HONOR!”

How exactly did Hashem speak to the noviim? How did Avraham Avinu hear Hashem’s voice? What did it sound like? Or maybe it was not audible.

Moshe Rabbeinu saw a burning bush, but how did Hashem’s voice reach Moshe? Hashem identified Himself, but how did the voice sound to Moshe? Was it audible?

In Megilas Esther there is no mention of Hashem, but the flow of events makes His Presence absolutely clear. Purim is the quintessential holiday of golus, in that Hashem’s Presence is completely hidden … but at the same time completely clear.

I heard a fascinating shiur from Rabbi Motti Neuburger about the mishkan: how the aron represents the written Torah and the menorah represents the oral Torah. The aron is remote; no one basically is allowed in the kodshei kodashim. The oral Torah is immutable.

But the menorah is accessible, and the kohanim would tend to it every day. The oral Torah is in our hands, accessible. It brings the Written Torah close to us so we know how to live it. Through the oral Law, we mold our conduct to fit the law of Hashem. This is the Torah we bring with us into golus in order to survive.

There is a possuk which really speaks to me. “The heavens declare the glory of G-d and the expanse of the sky tells of His handiwork.  … There is no speech and there are no words; their sound is unheard [but the extent of Hashem’s work] goes forth throughout the world and [His] words reach the farthest ends of the land ….” (Tehillim 19)

We look at this magnificent world, from the ant beneath the earth to the expanse of the Milky Way, and we see in everything the incomparable power of Hashem. But no sound is heard. Although the planets make no sound and the galaxies are silent, they are all guided by an invisible hand and an invisible will.

The Presence of Hashem is in every atom of the universe and yet He is hidden in the most profound way. This is what Megilas Esther brings out, an existence in which Hashem is totally hidden but totally there!

When I wrote From Central Park to Sinai: How I Found My Jewish Soul, I saw the magnificent tapestry which Hashem had created for me. On any one day, at any one second, I perhaps did not see the Presence of Hashem, but when I put on paper the entire sequence of events that constituted my life, the beautiful pattern in which Hashem had supported me at every step and given me everything I needed, it all became clear. Even when I was full of anguish, I saw how vital that anguish was because – through it – I cried out to Hashem and that is how I finally found him. The anguish saved me! I went through every lifestyle I could think of, and then, at the exact moment when there was nowhere left for me to search … at that second Hashem introduced me and my wife to Rebbetzin Esther Jungreis, who opened the door to Torah. Then light flooded out the darkness.

That, my friends, is the story of life. Minute by minute it may look dark, but If we look back over the puzzle of life we will see that each piece fits precisely in its place. It becomes clear that Hashem is guiding us and holding our hand. There is no darkness; there is only light. As the Megillahsays, “the Jews had light and gladness and joy and honor …”

That is why we can say “Gam zu l’tova … even this is for the best” in every situation. Hashem knows what He is doing. When someone dies, we say “Baruch dayan ha emes … G-d is the True Judge.” He sees from the perspective of eternity.

There is a bracha in Shemoneh Esreh which appears simple, but I believe is actually complex. Concerning the Holiness of Hashem’s Name, it says, “You are holy and Your Name is holy?” What is the difference between Hashem and His Name?

What is this bracha telling us?

I like to think about it this way: Hashem is like the written Torah, totally beyond us and immutable. But His Name is ours! It is on earth, like the oral Torah. We can make Him part of us! His Name is accessible! They say that the most important word in a bracha is “ata … You!” We can speak directly to Hashem! Can you imagine! What a gift!

This is Purim! This is the Megillah!

Hashem may be invisible, but He is right here within every atom of space and every second of time. Dovid ha Melech tells us the formula to use when we are surrounded by evil forces: “B’shaim Hashem … with the Name of G-d I cut them down!” (Tehillim 118) The Name of
G-d is our power! That is how we will bring Moshiach and usher in the Geulah Shelemah! That is how we will merit “light and gladness and joy and honor!”

May we see the complete Redemption soon in our days!

A VERY WISE COMMENTER – Esti Yaniv Decries Labor Yaya Fink!

COMMENT SUBMISSION:  The Jews rioting against those murderous terrorists have every right to show their outrage because when authorities do not [do] their job, unfortunately, people tend to want to take things in their own hands.
This is all being provoked by the leftists who lost out and who never thought they would lose. These losers have no understanding of what democracy is.
They are just another part of the worldwide leftism that has taken hold. Israel is unique, it is G-D's Country where His Laws will prevail, no matter what.
This world is HIS!
In the meantime, may H' watch over His children and may His children wake up and remember the Covenant between Hashem & Yisrael!

Bereaved mother Esti Yaniv decries campaign in support of Huwara 'pogrom victims'
Labor Party activist Yaya Fink is collecting donations for 'the people who celebrated after my sons were murdered.' Bereaved mother responds

Esti Yaniv, whose sons Hillel and Yagel were murdered by a terrorist in the Arab village of Huwara on Sunday, has expressed her horror at the launch of a campaign of support for the residents of Huwara, the initiative of left-winger and Labor Party activist Yaya Fink.

Yaya Fink should be punished for using a historical description of
“pogrom” to label her “Blood Money”; these people are sick.

Fink is collecting donations for what he defines as the "Huwara pogrom victims." The "pogrom" referred to occurred several hours after the murders of the Yaniv brothers, when dozens of Jews converged on Huwara and set fire to cars in scrapyards, also causing fire damage to several buildings. According to Palestinian-Arab accounts, one person lost his life in circumstances that are unclear.

"Every day, I look down at the murderous village of Huwara where the murderer of my sons is still walking free, where they handed out pastries and celebrated after the murder," Esti Yaniv said. "I was horrified to hear of this dreadful campaign, [launched] a day after many of the residents of Huwara celebrated after the murder of my sons.”

"We, the Jewish People must not become confused; we must remain clear in our minds," she added. "We are a people that desires life, and they are a people that desires death. Against this dreadful campaign of darkness, we are launching a campaign that will add light to the world, one that will contribute goodness and kind deeds to one another. A campaign that will strengthen the Settlement enterprise and will increase Torah learning; a campaign that will encourage and embrace our soldiers. We appeal to the entire Jewish People: Join us and help us to bring more light and goodness into the world, in memory of my pure and holy sons.”

Yehuda Naumberg, Hillel and Yagel Yaniv's uncle, related, "When we first heard of this appalling campaign, a campaign that encourages terrorism and that tries to extend sympathy to our enemies, we thought we must be imagining things. It is like spitting in the faces of Yagel and Hillel. That's why my friends and I decided to urgently set up a campaign to increase light in the world, in the face of this tremendous darkness and confusion.”

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu

Netanyahu: Freedom to Demonstrate is Not Freedom to Create Anarchy

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a forceful statement Wednesday night, slamming the anti-government demonstrations in Tel Aviv that finally turned violent this week, and warning that the right to demonstrate is not a right to create anarchy.

“Citizens of Israel, the right to demonstrate is a basic value of democracy. But the freedom to demonstrate is not freedom to bring the country to a standstill,” he said.

“Freedom to demonstrate is not freedom to bring the country to a standstill,” he repeated, adding, “the person who said that, 20 years ago, was the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Aharon Barak.

“It was correct then, and it is correct today as well.

“Freedom to demonstrate is not a license to degrade the country into anarchy, to chaos. A sovereign nation cannot tolerate anarchy.

“I know there are among you people who love the country, who support and accept the judicial reform. And I know there are others among you who also love the country, and who oppose the reforms.

“But in a democracy, there are clear guidelines on how to conduct the disagreement.

‘There are red lines that are forbidden to cross, and it doesn’t matter how deep the disagreement, how stormy, how much it enrages someone. The red line that cannot be crossed, that is utterly forbidden, is violence and anarchy.”

‘Day of National Disruption’
Protest leaders called it a “Day of National Disruption,” with demonstrations that shut down Israel’s liveliest city and made it impossible for commuters and even emergency vehicles to get to their destinations.

Police on horseback and on foot worked to disperse the protesters blocking the Ayalon Highway in Tel Aviv, using stun grenades and water cannons, while fending off direct attacks from the demonstrators.

At least 11 people were injured; there were 50 arrests as well.

“It’s forbidden to strike police officers. It’s forbidden to bring the country to a standstill by blocking roads,” Netanyahu said in a statement earlier in the day.

Lapid Attempting to Generate Anarchy
Netanyahu slammed the efforts he said were led by his predecessor, Yesh Atid leader Yair Lapid, to lead the mobs into anarchy.

“I understand that there is someone here who is attempting to generate anarchy; he is called Yair Lapid,” the prime minister said. “He says it clearly: he wants to create a governmental crisis – I would say a constitutional crisis – because through this he intends to reach new elections.”

But Netanyahu added that people do not have to follow Lapid’s lead – including those who oppose the government’s intended judicial reform.

In response, Lapid tweeted, “We will continue to fight until we win.”

‘A Gloomy Shadow’
Four lawmakers from the Likud and opposition National Unity faction issued a statement just prior to Netanyahu’s remarks, calling on all parties to reach a broad consensus.

“The State of Israel is currently facing many complex challenges in the fields of society, economics and international status and faces severe harsh attacks and serious security challenges than ever,” MKs Yuli Edelstein, Gadi Eisenkot, Hili Trooper and Danny Danon said in their joint statement.

“Above all of these, as a gloomy shadow, the harsh dispute that ripped and party the public in Israel regarding the various proposals of the Israeli judicial system. We have no doubt that although the disputes are difficult, we must act in any way to reach broad agreements,” the MKs said.

“It is imperative for all of us as the representatives of the public and its elected officials, to act immediately to settle the disputes and to achieve agreements and most importantly stop the danger of disintegration that we will develop as a company and as a state.

“All it takes is to respond to the president’s proposal and to have a discussion based on the principles of the outline he proposed.”

SHOCKING! Sara Netanyahu Accosted and Held Hostage – Drone video of Rescue

The country is not on fire! Only the leftist commie progressive anarchists are insanely attacking everyone in their not internally accepting that the election of the majority of Israelis VOTED YOU OUT OF OFFICE. They do not want your perverted view of life in Israel!

Go to link below to view amazing video of the rescue and the mobs

TEL AVIV (VINnews) — Sara Netanyahu was accosted by a massive angry mob of protesters and became trapped in a Tel Aviv hair salon on Wednesday evening. The Prime Minister’s wife needed to be rescued by police, after waiting hours to be extricated.

Nearly one thousand protesters against the government plan to reform the judiciary rallied and marched in many cities around the country. In Tel Aviv, which had rare violent clashes between protesters and police earlier in the day, rioters converged on Kikar HaMedina Plaza after learning that Mrs. Netanyahu was at a salon getting a haircut.

The protesters blocked the entrance to the salon and screamed at security guards protecting the prime minister’s wife.

“The country is burning and Sara is getting a haircut,” they shouted.

IT IS ONLY YOU, LEFTIST MOBSTERS, WHO ARE BURNING WITH INSANE RAGE!

Police were quickly deployed to prevent total chaos, with the premier’s wife holed up inside. Eventually, large police forces arrived and evacuated Netanyahu. The incident occurred around the time Benjamin Netanyahu delivered an address to the nation, comparing protesters who clashed with cops in Tel Aviv to settlers who rampaged through a Palestinian town earlier in the week.

Many politicians on both sides of the aisle condemned what was essentially a hostage situation.

Prime Minister Netanyahu said: “The anarchical activists led by Lapid continue to cross red lines. Right now they are harassing and threatening my wife in Tel Aviv. I call on Lapid and the opposition to stop this immediately and condemn this shameful and unprecedented act.”

Opposition leader Yair Lapid tweeted, “I call on the protesters in Kikar Hamedina to allow Sara Netanyahu to leave and go home. Your fight and ours is against the regime coup and the destruction of democracy.”

National Unity Party chairman Benny Gantz also called on the protesters to leave.

“I call on the protesters in Kikar Hamedina: Let the Prime Minister’s wife return home, and continue to wave your flags,” he said. “We will continue to act together, in a variety of legal ways, to stop the coup d’état.”

Justice Minister Yariv Levin said, “The siege on the Prime Minister’s wife, Mrs. Sara Netanyahu, is insane and unprecedented. Those who thought that anarchy would stop with roadblocks and jumping on tables in the Knesset discovered tonight that when violence and disturbances are permitted, things don’t stop there. It is time to apply the rule of law to those who speak in the name of the rule of law while trampling on the law and on the individual rights of anyone who does not think like them.”

Justices Must Follow State Laws

The Israeli judiciary system under scrutiny

Justices must follow state laws objectively, and be accountable to the people, in order to prevent mistrust and contempt. Op-Ed

To the best of my knowledge, nowhere in the free world outside of Israel do you have a self-appointed, ideologically aligned, and self-serving group of judges and prosecutors who are not accountable to anybody. And yet, the Israeli Supreme Court overturns even solid laws that are passed by the legally and freely elected officials in the Israeli parliament. This situation could be called a "judiciary dictatorship," which should not exist in any democratic country.

In the United States, for example, the Department of Justice and the FBI became an arm of the Democratic Party, and they are implementing an obvious double standard of indictments and prosecutions. However, this could be challenged and changed if the Republican party gains power. In contrast, under the current Israeli system there is no constitution, and the judges and the prosecutors will not change even if elections bring to power a different group of leadership in the Knesset!

The radical Israeli left, even though they are a relatively small group, have some oblivious supporters from the general population, are notoriously very noisy, and are protesting vigorously. They are acting like this because they are afraid of losing even more power if their allies in the judiciary will have to comply with a new set of democratically and objectively implemented legal reforms.

The fact that these people are using extensive international, anti-Israeli pressure on the legally and democratically elected Israeli government shows very clearly that they do not care about the stability of the State of Israel. They are doing so, totally ignoring the fact that, should they come back into power following any of the next elections, they themselves are going to become the victims of the consequences of their current bashing of the State of Israel.

The self-serving antisemites from the radical right, from the radical left, or from Radical Islam do not care how Jewish you are, or even if you are not Jewish at all; they will try to destroy anybody who stands in their way, as their aspirations include mainly gaining money, power, control, connections, etc.
Let us hope that wisdom will prevail, and tomorrow will be better than yesterday.

First, look at the map of Israel and see where it is.

What historical way passed through and on its feet. The entire land surrounding it is the Yesod foundation holding up Am Yisrael through time.

There were blessings here, there were curses. Ancient writings discovered on the altar of Joshua found just in time as the Palestinian Authority bulldozed down the tired stones from old.

In Shechem, an ancient grave in the field our father Yaakov purchased to bury his son Yosef. “We are brothers!”, Yosef called, but his brothers threw him in a pit.

It has been burnt down time and time again by the marauding haters of Israel. Why do the echoes of the mountain of the curse drown out all truth, unity and sanity?

We begged them “Don’t give them guns!”, while General Keith Dayton trained them in Philadelphia to have an army against whom exactly?- with your tax payer dollars! The bluff- the Aqaba panel- ensuring we kneel in servitude and humility. The EU is building up area C but G-d forbid if I add a room on to our house.

THIS IS ANTISEMITISM.

The Fogel massacre that happened down my block – the memory does not ebb away, the pain of the pair of brothers ripped from this world from Har Bracha tears into old wounds that bleed afresh. “Are you afraid”, people have been asking me from time immemorial- because hundreds and thousands of our people have been slaughtered here since the guise of the “peace plan”.

I want to say “Don’t believe the lie”- a quote from the vampire movie- This IS a vampire movie. It sucks the truth out of anything pure and holy. Our sons and all sons here serve in the IDF. Don’t distort the image I want to scream but the voices that come up from all throats tell lies. They tell of curses and a turned upside down reality out of arrogance greed and evil. How long can Hashem’s face wear a covering!

No I do not fear for my own life- I fear for truth.

THIS IS ANTISEMITISM.

At this time of Adar you don’t know if what you hear is firecrackers or shooting. It should be a happy time- a time of a reality turned upside down- but our reality IS turned upside down. I bend down to pick up a beautiful fresh flower that popped up on the Tel here, a Tel I might have lived on in a previous life. How can heaven and hell reside so closely? The blessing and the curse- it’s the vibe here.

The peace is one you have never felt- the curse crushes you. You are grappling with so many outside forces here on the mountain as you see restoration happening at the same time. To withhold us from our legacy- that is the evil objective. We must conquer it!

About Huwara- just a word from someone who has to go through it since 1985- There is a traffic circle right near the corner of Ainaboos- it has a plaque that says: U.S. AID. Last week there were A HUNDRED rock attacks on our people there, including children hit and injured. Our son in law was attacked there as well. Is there a word from the world condemning this attack?

THIS IS ANTISEMITISM!

The parable of Yotam from the book of Judges has me seeing the olive, fig and grapevine now. It happened here. They have all sprung to life. Every view is one of mine. In the name of Hallel Yaniv “- ה’ יקום דמו- “It’s not what happens to you that’s the story- It’s what you do with what happens to you”.  WHAT DO WE DO IN THE FACE OF THIS BLATANT ANTISEMITISM?!

We settle – we restore- we make Adar what Adar should be. We rise -not in arrogance but in noble strides towards reformation. Amends need to made now as YOU clarify where your allegiance stands- to the blessing or the curse- you decide.

HASHEM YIKOM DAMAM!

Leah
