Efrat’s Bold Vision: Turning the Judean Hills into Israel’s Next Major Center

In this inspiring interview, Avi Abelow spoke with the Director of Development of the Efrat Foundation, to discuss the exciting future of the pioneering community of Efrat, the thriving capital of the Judean Hills. Efrat is growing rapidly to accommodate second and third generation families who want to stay in their beloved hometown. We explore major expansion plans, new neighborhoods, and infrastructure projects designed to keep families rooted in the biblical heartland of Judea. One of the most exciting initiatives is the restoration and development of the historic Solomon’s Pools, ancient Hasmonean and Roman reservoirs just outside Efrat. This ambitious project aims to revive this archaeological treasure and transform the area into a beautiful historical and recreational site for the entire region. We also discuss the new Lone Soldiers Center in memory of Roey Weiser, a fallen hero from my synagogue in Efrat. This vital project will provide housing, support, and a warm home for lone soldiers who defend Israel without family nearby. This interview offers a hopeful vision of Efrat’s future, a strong, growing, and proud Jewish community in Judea and Samaria that is building for the long term. If you believe in strengthening Jewish life in the biblical heartland, supporting second and third generation families, reviving Solomon’s Pools, and honoring lone soldiers, this video will inspire you.
