And Rav Wasserman on Satan's "Rabbis" and False Prophets

Here’s a small excerpt from part 36 of The Prophetic Teachings of Rav Elchonon Wasserman:

The yetzer hara has among his agents “rabbonim” who wear fancy woolen cloaks and rabbinic garb, who write and sign public proclamations [Kol Korehs] to the strengthen the hands of the seed of evildoers in their war against the Torah…

There’s no shortage of contemporary examples; those who served as mouthpieces for the Health Ministry and the state during the “war” should immediately come to mind, but the discerning reader will find many more examples.

…But the situation has already reached the point where the agents of evil inclination no longer have need for the approval of “rabbonim”, and they can do their work without any hindrance, because they have their own “gedolim”, doctors, and professors with no limit.

All this has come upon us through poverty of Torah knowledge, which causes a corruption of opinions…

I would add that this tragic predicament is greatly exacerbated when many of these same “rabbonim” and “gedolim” have been installed in positions of leadership, and are responsible for so much of the “Torah education” people receive. This is further exacerbated when these leaders are generally inaccessible to the masses (unless one has VIP access or greases the wheels), insulated from inconvenient questions, and those who wish to pose inconvenient questions — no matter how respectfully — are given the Communist treatment.

The fear of one’s children being blackballed in the shidduch world is enough to silence the critical thinkers who don’t get disgusted and “go off the derech”. 

This applies to all segments of the so-called Orthodox world.

If Rav Wasserman was so troubled by this phenomenon a hundred years ago, what do you think he would say today? 

Wake up already, people.

The two greatest exports of the Erev Rav State are riling up Jew-hatred and “fighting antisemitism”. 

It’s an extremely profitable business. They profit from the goyim who pick the “stand with Israel” side, the goyim who pick the “blame everything on Israel” side (both sides are necessary and feed off each other), diaspora Jews who support the state with their money, diaspora Jews who flee to Israel, and the EXTREMELY profitable war industry. 

It’s the regular Jews in Eretz Yisrael and around the world who get stuck in the middle and suffer the consequences.
