Could it Be………I’m not a Navi …….but

I read something of a revelation on Shabbos.💥

It was in a new Sefer, The *Navi Journey, Sefer Shoftim, by Rabbi Ilan Ginian.

Did you know that other than Hashem issuing a “Decree” a Malach can also?

This Malach is none other than the Satan.

The difference between them is that the decree by Hashem is upon Am Yisrael, the Yidden themselves. Like at Purim, to elicit their teshuva.

The decree of the Satan is ………. like when the Greeks tried to stop Jews from observing their Torah (Chanukah). And like the “§Bolsheviks!”

To weaken this decree it requires sacrificing lives (deaths) in war.

Our Nation right now seems to be on this perilous level, seemingly requiring the never ending loss of lives as korbanos in Gaza, Lebanon etc.

Sound familiar?

*these Seforim on Navi are eye-opening. If one has not ‘studied Navi’ in a formal setting, I highly recommend this series. I read his Sefer on Daniel and it was illuminating. We need to return to studying our Holy Torah, not just Parsha, and not just via a Shiur (which is very good), but ‘inside’ the text!

§ remember what the Bolsheviks tried to do? Close down Yeshivos, stop Bnei Yeshiva from learning! Sound familiar?

PS beware of spellchek  it does more than it’s name!

I have The Alshich commentary on Tehillim. I don't know how he's done it, but alas...
All King David's words and the rest too, Alshich finds a link to Geula and Moshiach. I'm looking at Vol2 now so I can't see the copyright...seems newer...
But it's a must. Now your suggestion is a must for me...tx

Leah, if you feel like it, go into a Jewish Book Store, look for this volume and go to page 36 (interesting #), under the heading "When to Fight and When to do Teshuva" and read. You don't have to buy the Sefer. I could only paraphrase, but you can read the original text.
