Biodegradable, edible plastic wrap could preserve food longer and reduce the environmental impact of plastic packaging.
Why the skeptical title?
An edible plastic coating to preserve our fruits (and perhaps other foods) that ward off microbials detrimental to one's health. The only problem with this is the edible plastic is created from treating two food substances, extracting and purifying them and then creating the plastic from the merger. The substances are crab or shrimp shells and egg whites.
