״שואלים למה אני לא מתגייס?!״ | התשובה המטלטלת של מרן הרב זילברשטיין שהיממה את הנוכחים ⚠️

A dramatic and unprecedented address delivered at the residence of Maran HaGaon HaRav Yitzchok Zilberstein Shlit"a in Bnei Brak, during an emergency gathering of dozens of community rabbis addressing the existential threats facing the Yeshiva world and the draft crisis.

In a stirring and unfiltered statement regarding military service and government funding, Rav Zilberstein declared:

"People in Ramat Chen ask me: 'Sir, why don't you join the army?' I answer them: 'Because I teach the army what to do!' We don't want money from the government, we don't want anything from them! Shevet Levi takes nothing from the nation—it only gives! The elite of the nation are the Torah teachers who guide the people."

Citing Maimonides' (Rambam) fundamental ruling that Yeshiva students hold the sacred status of Shevet Levi as Hashem’s ultimate legion, Rav Zilberstein concluded with an urgent call to follow the directives of the generation's leaders—Maran HaGaon Rav Dov Lando Shlit"a and Maran HaGaon Rav Moshe Hillel Hirsch Shlit"a—and support the Degel HaTorah/Yahadut HaTorah movement (Gimel).
