TSARINA: 'Send 7,000 draft orders to haredim'

Attorney General: 'Send 7,000 draft orders to haredim'

Attorney General, Gali Baharav-Miara, [tsarina]writes that 'the security establishment's plan to send 7,000 draft orders to haredim starting Sunday must be implemented immediately.' https://www.israelnationalnews.com/news/399076

“In the aftermath of the Polish uprising of 1831, children of political prisoners and boys on the streets of captured cities often were abducted, and placed in cantonist schools, with the intent of their Russification,[11] see Incorporation of Polish children into the Imperial Russian Army (1831–1832) for more.”  […]

After 1827, the term was applied to Jewish and Karaite boys,[7][8][9] who were drafted to military service at the age of twelve and placed for their six-year military education in cantonist schools. Like all other conscripts, they were required to serve in the Imperial Russian army for 25 years after the completion of their studies (in 1834 the term was reduced to 20 years plus five years in reserve and in 1855 to 12 years plus three years of reserve).[10] According to the "Statute on Conscription Duty" signed by Tsar Nicholas I of Russia on August 26 (September 7 new style), 1827, Jews were made liable to personal military service and were subject to the same conscription quota as all other tax-paying estates ("sosloviya") in the Russian Empire.”

Call Of Moshiach 7 - Building Israel

We explore the idea brought in the Gemara in Sanhedrin which speaks of King Omri's merit of maintaining his kingship for three generations. It was based on the fact that he had built up a great city in Israel - the city of Shomron. Although he was exceedingly wicked, the very act of building Israel is a spiritual act that has great merit, even if done without the proper intent. We also explore a story with Rav Shraga Feivel Mendlowitz, who explained how important Jewish sovereignty over Israel is, as a sanctuary for Jews, and a possible reason why it was being built by secular Jews.

THE IDF PROMISED THEM THE MOON ……and they jumped at it

that is if they live to see it

JERUSALEM (VINnews) — In a change of tactics, the IDF has decided not to send more draft notices but rather to try and reach individual agreements with students studying in the yeshivos in return for removing individual sanctions which apply to those evading army service.

Recently, seven charedi yeshiva students were expelled from the Itri yeshiva after signing a secret agreement with the IDF. The seven students committed to enlist in the IDF after studying for twenty months. The new IDF program, dubbed “Students Forever” has allegedly signed up numerous yeshiva students, offering them several different programs which include gaining a profession (while they are studying in yeshiva) and serving in various combat and combat assistance units in the IDF which have been prepared for charedi inductees.

The students were discovered after the yeshiva received special budgets in their names, as they are not defined as draft evaders. The yeshiva’s administration received the agreements they had signed with the army and decided to expel them in order to prevent giving legitimization to IDF enlistment.

SPECIAL COMMISSION OF INQUIRY

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has recently been promoting a proposal to establish a "special" commission of inquiry into the October 7th massacre - that is, not to establish a state commission of inquiry.

According to Israel Hayom, the proposal involves elements in the Likud and the Prime Minister's office, with the aim of having one of the Knesset members promote the measure through a private member's bill.

The move comes in the wake of public criticism and the possibility that Netanyahu prefers to control the process.

It was further reported by sources privy to the details, that the idea being promoted is to establish a commission composed of a judge, representatives of the IDF and representatives of the families of the victims - with its members and its head to be agreed upon by representatives of the coalition and the opposition.

The committee will differ from a state commission of inquiry, whose members are appointed by the president of the Supreme Court. Netanyahu and the coalition do not want the acting president, Justice Itzhak Amit, to appoint the committee and its members.

The decision comes on the backdrop of the great lack of trust between the government and the judiciary in general and against Justice Amit in particular - on the grounds that he allegedly has an agenda opposed to the government.

ALSO BEING DISCUSSED:

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in closed talks that the issue of sovereignty over Judea and Samaria should be revisited when Donald Trump returns to the White House.

His remarks join those of the remarks of Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich who said yesterday that "2025 will, God willing, be the year of sovereignty in Judea and Samaria."

Smotrich also said that "the only way to remove this threat from the agenda is to apply Israeli sovereignty to the settlements in Judea and Samaria. This is our answer to Sinwar, may his name and memory be erased, and to all the Nazis along the axis from Iran, Hezbollah, Yemen to what remains of Hamas terrorists in Gaza and the terrorists in Judea and Samaria," said Smotrich. Bio:  Roberto Lupetti

Roberto Lupetti (1918-1997) Was a classically trained artist. Born in Milan, Italy, He was raised in an environment that nurtured creativity. At the age of fourteen he was accepted to attend Brera Liceo Artistico, one of the most prestigious art academies in Italy.

Roberto Lupetti graduated at the age of eighteen from Brera Liceo Artistico in Milan, Italy, and then went on to win honors from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Rome. The degree of Professor of Fine Arts, which he earned, has stood him in good stead through the years, first in his native land, and later in his adopted one. In Milan, he helped restore the famed La Scala Opera House, and in Rome he earned the right to help in the restoration of the Masters' Works in the Vatican's Sistine Chapel. In 1946, Roberto came to America under the sponsorship of world famous Arturo Toscanini. A painting he did of the maestro was purchased by the San Francisco Art Commission. Portraits of some Hollywood greats were followed by several years of painting monumental projects on the ceilings of San Francisco and San Jose Cathedrals and other edifices of the Catholic and Greek Church. In recent years, Lupetti has given full play to his mastery of classic realism, which he sees as truth and beauty. Of this, Al Aaron, his mentor and friend for over 20 years notes, "The clarity of detail and harmonious composition of Lupetti’s paintings reflect the thorough training of the classical school, while the dramatic play of lights and shadows are more expressive of the brilliance of his character. When I look at Roberto's paintings, I always feel a deep sense of security and truth in the perfection of detail and beauty seen through his eyes." Roberto Lupetti's artwork is recognized by seasoned artists, connoisseurs, and even the untrained eye. He is an excellent draftsman, a superb colorist, and a perfectionist striving for detail and harmonious composition. Each painting is exquisitely executed and literally breaths air and light.

the night before

The eviction is the latest in a series of actions taken against the Tzur Harel community and its members, including demolitions and administrative restraining orders.
The defense establishment noted that the structures that were demolished were illegally constructed on land that is *privately owned by a Palestinian Arab.

The residents claimed this morning that "for the fourth time, the defense establishment destroyed our hilltop, despite all of the illegal construction around us and the non-stop attacks by Arabs from the nearby village of Burqa, they decided to evict us. It is very disappointing to see that (former Defense Minister) Gallant's spirit continues to dictate the policy of the State of Israel's Defense Minister, we call on incoming Defense Minister Israel Katz to come to his senses and stop harming the land of Israel so he won't be remembered in the settlement movement as a Defense Minister who harmed and destroyed the settlements like his predecessor.

"Despite the destruction, we will continue in full force and not give up. We call from here to the people of Israel to come and support the settlement of the land of Israel. We will continue to fight for the lands of our fathers until a beautiful community is established here," they added.

The defense establishment commented: "The structures were built illegally and were removed per the decision of Central Command Commanding Officer Maj. Gen. Avi Bluth and the head of the Civil Administration Brg. Gen. Hisham Ibrahim. In addition, the many criminal incidents that emanated from the community and the security risks created as a result constituted a threat for a potential flare-up in the area. The IDF and defense establishment will continue to work to ensure the security of the area and its residents."

Amsterdam Revelations — UNWRA JIHAD

Amsterdam Pogrom Organized by Former UNWRA Instructor

According to the Jerusalem Post, Ayman Nejmeh, who once taught children as a UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency) teacher, has been identified as the leader of a group that organized a violent attack on Israeli soccer fans in Amsterdam last Thursday. Nejmeh, who recently deleted his UNRWA work history from his Facebook profile, now leads a group called PGNL (Palestinian community in the Netherlands) that was behind the frightening incident.

Here’s what happened in Amsterdam: A soccer game was planned between Maccabi Ajax teams Officials canceled a planned protest before the game The organizers then made secret plans, telling people to come in small groups and hide their flags The situation turned violent when protesters attacked Israeli soccer fans

About the PGNL Group: It organizes protests across the Netherlands It uses apps like WhatsApp and Telegram to communicate Until recently, it was led by Amin Abou Rashed, who was arrested in 2023 Nejmeh took over leadership after Rashed’s arrest Elad, a fan who survived the attack, told reporters that the violence seemed carefully planned. He compared it to other recent attacks on Israeli citizens, saying it was like “a pogrom and a massacre attempt” that had nothing to do with soccer. He also noted that normally, Ajax soccer fans have good relationships with Israeli and Jewish people.

The incident has caused serious concern because: It appeared to be organized ahead of time Violence was specifically targeted at Israeli fans Local authorities knew about possible problems but couldn’t prevent them The event has worried many people across Europe Many European leaders are now investigating groups that organize protests to make sure they don’t promote violence. Special attention is being paid to the connection between protest organizers and their past work with international organizations like UNRWA.

Rav Kook – The Message of the Scholars of Yavneh

The Message of the Scholars of Yavneh

The town of Yavneh marks a critical juncture in Jewish history. In the aftermath of Jerusalem’s destruction and the crushing defeat of the Jewish revolt in 70 CE, the Sanhedrin relocated to Yavneh. It was there that Rabban Yohanan ben Zakkai and his disciples began the task of rebuilding the Jewish people.

The Sages in Yoma 9b observed that the root cause of the Second Temple’s destruction lay in the nation’s descent into senseless hatred between sectors of society. Typical of the feelings of resentment and animosity that many simple folk harbored toward the scholars of that era is Rabbi Akiva’s recollection: “When I was an ignoramus, I would say, ‘Who will give me a Torah scholar so that I can bite him like a donkey?'” (Pesahim 49b).

Hatred and intolerance festered into civil strife that tore apart the fabric of the nation. The infighting between the various factions in Jerusalem — the clashes between moderates and Zealots, the bitter rivalries between Pharisees, Sadducees, and Essenes — weakened Jerusalem from within, leaving it vulnerable to the armies of Vespasian and Titus.

The Motto of Yavneh

The Sages understood that, after the fall of Jerusalem, the survival of the Jewish people depended on mutual respect and unity. And so, in Yavne, they set their sights on healing rifts and bringing together the different segments of society in a spirit of reconciliation.

The Talmud in Berakhot 17 records the saying of the scholars of Yavneh

“I am a creature and my counterpart [the unlettered farmer] is a creature. My work is in the city and his work is in the field. I rise early for my work, and he rises early for his. Just as he does not presume to do my work, I do not presume to do his.

And should you say: I engage in much [Torah study and good deeds] while he does less, so I am worthier, it has been taught: One who brings a substantial offering and one who brings a modest offering stand equal, as long as they direct their hearts to Heaven”

Overcoming Divisiveness and Intolerance

In his commentary on this Talmudic passage, Rav Kook examines the underlying reasons for national disunity and how we may overcome them.

While many factors can give rise to infighting and discord, he identifies a root cause: an excessive self-regard and an inflated sense of one’s own importance. This self-centeredness blinds us to the fundamental truth that we are, at our core, not so different from one another, as we all share the same basic needs and conditions of life

Rav Kook then proceeds to analyze each section of this saying of the Yavneh scholars:

1. In terms of the basic aspects of life — our physical, psychological, and social needs — there is no difference between one person and the next. People may differ in their occupations and lifestyles, but this bears no relevance to their innate desire to live and fundamental right to life. On that basic level, the differences between us are incidental and do not justify dissociation and alienation. In the simple yet powerful statement of the Yavneh sages: “I am a creature and my counterpart is a creature.

2. The differences between us are superficial and lack true significance. We all labor and contribute, albeit in different spheres: “My work is in the city, and his work is in the field.”

3. While we are keenly aware of our strengths and contributions to society, we must recognize that others have their own contributions. Some labor in agriculture and industry, others in commerce, healthcare, security, and education. Each plays an essential role in advancing our collective life. All are eager and committed to their occupations: “I rise early for my work, and he rises early for his

4. While I may possess strengths and advantages not found in other sectors of society, I must acknowledge that other sectors may possess virtues that I lack. For example, while scholars excel in their Torah knowledge, others may surpass them in generosity and acts of service to society. “Just as he does not presume to do my work” — he does not lay claim to my talents and accomplishments — “so I do not presume to do his.”

5. Finally, one might argue that those most devoted to Torah and mitzvot are the ones most favored in God’s eyes. Even this argument, however, is mistaken. God’s approval rests not on the level of one’s scholarship or the perfection of one’s deeds, but rather on the sincerity and purity of one’s heart. And we cannot know what lies in the inner chambers of another’s heart. There are some whose circumstances and natural abilities limit what they can achieve, yet their heart and efforts, judged by God, attain the highest standard. By contrast, there may be Torah scholars, blessed with intellectual gifts and resources, who fall short of their true potential.

Thus, the Sages of Yavneh would say, “And should you say: I engage in much [Torah study and good deeds] while he does less, so I am worthier, it has been taught: One who brings a substantial offering and one who brings a modest offering stand equal, as long as they direct their hearts to Heaven

This was the message of unity and mutual respect in Yavneh, at that dark hour of national crisis. Each of us, even those graced with the greatest wisdom and social standing, should regard all others as our equals, extending to them genuine respect and honor
