Intense, sudden wildfires have broken out in the Karaöz area of the Aksu district, Antalya province, Turkey. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. Driven by strong winds, the fire spread rapidly to new areas and began threatening residential zones. As the flames approached homes, dozens of residents had to be evacuated. The fire spread toward neighboring areas—including Yeşilkaraman, Kızıllı, Hatipler, and Çamlıca—and reached the border of the Döşemealtı district. Evacuations were carried out due to the threat, and some roads were closed. Strong winds posed a particular danger, carrying burning debris to new areas and sparking additional hotspots.
The flames spread in multiple directions simultaneously. At present, the fire is not under control, though containment efforts are ongoing.
