• Gathering Limits: The court increased the cap on gatherings at the Western Wall and the Temple Mount from 50 to 100–150 people under strict wartime and Home Front Command guidelines. [1, 2]
Protests vs. Holy Sites: The session—which notably convened on a Saturday (Shabbat)—also permitted larger anti-government and anti-war protests (up to 600 people) in Tel Aviv, drawing criticism from coalition members over differential caps. [1, 2, 3]
The Status Quo: Long-standing rules prohibiting non-Muslim prayer and restricting visiting days and hours on the Temple Mount remain governed by police discretion and the historic status quo rather than a new recent liberalization for Shabbat
