Dovid HaMelech ……

Tens of thousands of workers... cedars from Lebanon... copper from the shale and gold in quantities that would not have embarrassed the greatest Pharaoh of Egypt...
The First Temple, built in Jerusalem some 3,000 years ago, was a great architectural achievement, the memory of which resonates in the history of nations to this day. But King Solomon's great challenge is in the spiritual realm. Solomon must distinguish the only monotheistic temple in the world from the hundreds of pagan temples scattered throughout Canaan, and design a new spiritual center, where every person can stand on the threshold of God's house and find "an open gate to heaven..." The film follows the construction of the monumental project, described in the Bible, step by step, from the moment the materials were collected to the completion of construction seven years later, and reveals how Solomon copes with the spiritual challenge.
