Burned out never againers and their ilk were extremely upset by my previous post, which showed video footage of IDF soldier Avraham Azulai being ambushed and executed in a hellhole called Gaza. What offended them was the fact that this contradicted the official state/IDF/media narrative that Azulai died while valiantly fighting off his attackers. They very much want to believe that this is how he died, because that elevates his death, tragic as it was, to a glorious and heroic event that fills them with pride.
That’s what we have come to. Glorifying our own slaughter even as we mourn. How else could we carry on being gloriously slaughtered?
Unfortunately, the video footage shows something completely different. It shows two large lumbering construction vehicles doing excavation work in the middle of a warzone, while Hamas fighters observe them from a nearby building and methodically prepare their attack. They run out in broad daylight and fire an RPG at one of the vehicles, scoring a direct hit. A few seconds later the occupant leaps out of the vehicle and attempts to run for his life, but is cut down by a barrage of gunfire. Attackers approach the prone figure, take his weapons, and finish him off in cold blood.
By all accounts Avraham Azulai was a valiant fighter, and it is not my intention to cast aspersions on him in any way. God forbid! There is no doubt in my mind that if he had a chance he would have fought like a lion. But he didn’t have a chance.
The state/IDF/media have every motive to lie about the circumstances of Azulai’s death, because a narrative that he was executed in broad daylight like a wounded animal without even having a chance to defend himself would be much more difficult for people to stomach. They might be outraged (not only at the assassins). They might demand accountability. They might even lose some of their cultish fealty to the state/IDF/media — and enough of that could create serious problems for the regime.
Even if the official narrative were 100% true, there are enough disturbing questions that would threaten fealty to the regime if people weren’t marinated in propaganda, social pressure, and religious/messianic brainwashing that would make any cult leader envious.
For example, this report from July 9:
It states that the tunnel in Khan Younis from which the terrorists who attempted to kidnap Avraham Azulai emerged was well known to the IDF, but they didn’t deal with it out of concern that hostages might have been inside.
Now wait a second. The pretext for all these Jewish soldiers being in Gaza for nearly two years now is to rescue hostages and blow up tunnels (among other “terrorist infrastructure”). But they specifically refused to blow up this tunnel because they had reason to believe there were hostages inside. But they also didn’t rescue any presumed hostages from there or even get to the bottom of it. They just let this tunnel sit around, while soldiers operated large slow-moving vehicles (easy targets) meters away — without a wall of protection between them and the tunnel.
Now, I’m no expert, but in which military training class do they teach you that the perimeter shouldn’t have been totally secured, especially that tunnel? Please educate me. Seriously, can the genius intelligence failures who let October 7 happen, and all those who still entrust them with your lives, please make it make sense?
Why was Azulai left exposed like that? How were the attackers able to charge the vehicle and attack it in broad daylight without being spotted? Who was in charge of this operation? Is he more likely to be jailed — as the IDF previously did to Azulai — and prosecuted for reckless manslaughter, or receive a promotion?
Again, these are questions that must be asked even if you believe the official narrative hook, line, and sinker. But the burned out never-againers are too busy being proud of the legend of Azulai’s death to be properly skeptical and outraged at anyone but the assassins.
Am Yisrael Chai! We are resilient! Avenge this senseless death with more senseless death! Draft 50,000 yeshiva students and send them to Gaza, too! Jail them if they refuse!
In a bizarre unspoken response to the video footage of the attack, the state/IDF/media released a CGI video portraying their version of events (embedded clip at the top of this post, from Kan).
Now compare it with the footage from the attackers, and tell me who you believe. (Again, viewer discretion advised.

I’m not saying Hamas doesn’t engage in all sorts of lies and propaganda too, but, in this case, which group of pathological liars has presented more credible information?
Why would the regime go to all the trouble of creating a CGI video of the attack when actual footage exists? Why bother creating it at all? Why would they not even acknowledge the actual footage, if only to dispute its authenticity and present actual evidence (not merely official statements and the authoritative intonations of a professional newscaster as they show a CGI video)?
Is it not cynical for the regime to lionize Azulai and spread a heroic tale about his final moments, when they share responsibility for his horrible death with the assassins who carried it out?
I challenged one burned out never againer on social media who regurgitated the official narrative — “he fell in Gaza fighting off the Arabs trying to abduct him” — with a simple observation: “That's not what the footage shows...”
He accused me of deceiving people. By sharing actual footage of the attack and drawing reasonable conclusions, as opposed to parroting the party lines.
I replied: “How many more soldiers have to be maimed and killed for nothing before you face reality? All of them? Nearly 20,000 Jews have been maimed and killed in less than two years in tiny little Gaza, so they could do demolition work for the globalists and earn billions for the state and their weapons manufacturers, and you cheer it on and call for more. Brainwashed war-mongers with a twist of religion are the easiest prey. That's why you're being decimated in record numbers and still believe you're winning.”
To which he offered this mature intellectual response that took the inconvenient facts into account: “I'd rather be a burnt out never againer than a pissed-off nerd with a computer.”

During an IDF operation in the northern Gaza Strip, a Hamas terrorist was caught on camera emerging from the rubble of a destroyed building and hurling an explosive device at a Merkava tank from the 401st Brigade [sitting ducks]. According to Kan, the explosive detonated outside the tank, causing no injuries as the crew had sealed the hatches [how much you want to bet on that?].
The Israeli defense establishment is closely monitoring changes in Hamas's battlefield behavior. Recent patterns indicate a rise in direct and aggressive engagements by militants. This growing boldness is believed to stem from either desperation and a sense of being cornered, or from a strategic attempt to score psychological victories ahead of a potential ceasefire deal [emphasis mine].
One could say the same about the growing boldness of monstrous pathological liars in twisting reality no matter how clear the reality should be.
Again, we must accept facts. We do not have to accept their explanations and rationalizations of the facts.
Notice once again two hulking IDF vehicles sitting around, wide open targets, while an attacker runs up to them in broad daylight and dumps an explosive on one. Where is the protection? How come the IDF can see everything with their drones and fancy gizmos, but soldiers continue to be sitting ducks in death traps?
How is it that the genius intelligence failures supposedly know whenever someone in Tehran blows his nose and where he throws the tissue, but they can’t seem to spot all those mines and explosives being placed on the roads in Gaza before Jewish sacrificial lambs are conveniently sent right into them?

When you get done celebrating all the brave heroes who gave their lives for a historic victory you couldn’t discern if the media didn’t tell you, you might want to think about that
Finally, very interesting information in this article:
Of course, anyone who believes God impregnated a woman, who gave birth to a prophet who was greater than Moshe and canceled the Torah all by himself, then died for your sins, but couldn't save himself, then became part of God, and will come back and save you, but only if you believe, shouldn't be lecturing anyone about idolatry. Then again, he spots it well in others.
To his credit, the author generally disassociates actual Torah and Judaism from all the idolatrous filth throughout the un-Jewish state and its highest institutions (though he seems to harbor the usual misconceptions about something he calls "Talmudism"). He might want to take a closer look at Christianity as well, but the information he shares about what's going on across Israel should not be casually dismissed by Torah-minded Jews. As with inconvenient video footage from Hamas, what’s true is true, and we need to contend with it.
It's our responsibility to take this information seriously and do what we can to cleanse the land of idolatry. Rabbis and community leaders should speak out and be urged to do so. Local communities should organize and demand that all idolatrous images be removed from public spaces. We must stridently object to idolatrous symbols and practices (such as idolatrous dance festivals on Shabbos Simchas Torah…). And we must rid ourselves of all idolatrous symbols we unwittingly have in our possession. These are necessary and extremely practical first steps.
People get worked up over all kinds of trivial, picayune things. How about getting worked up over something that matters, and actually doing something about it?
Maybe then we'll be more worthy of redemption.
