Have you lost your minds?

One buries the non-Jewish dead, and consoles their mourners, and visits their sick--for the sake of peace. (Mishneh Torah, Laws of the Mourner 14:12)

It does not say to eulogize them. But it does say that "it is forbidden to talk about them in a praiseworthy manner" (ibid., Laws of Avodah Zarah and Non-Jews 10:6), sing their praises, if you will.

So, what does this mean for the sake of peace? "...when Israel is in exile among the nations,..." (ibid.) So that they do not ransack your homes, beat you up, and kill you. So you could make an argument for civility, even condolences while still residing the temporary refuge of non-Jewish homelands. Nevertheless, is it really necessary to slobber all over him, and make a complete spectacle of yourselves? […]
