ACCOUNTABILITY

Israel: Religious leaders evade accountability for hardline rulings against ‘unvaccinated’

Rabbis 'succumbed to panic, they believed in the establishment, trusted them and fully cooperated with them’

Prominent Israeli rabbis who issued hardline rulings against “unvaccinated” Jews are ignoring legal challenges to their edicts in courts of Jewish law. Recently, an 8-page legal complaint against a pro-injection rabbi drafted by Jewish legal scholar Abba Horowitz went ignored by three different rabbinical courts, one of whom has the rabbi in question serving on its rabbinical board.

Jewish law, which views government with a critical eye, is wholly vested in the rabbinate, whose authority is trusted by Jews often unquestioningly.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Israel’s government led the world in extreme policies such as extended lockdowns and mask mandates. But even as the country’s suicide rate spiked and police violently beat dissenters in public, many Jews obeyed the decrees when their rabbis reinforced the mandates and sometimes even encouraged the brutality.

Speaking in 2020 about those who flouted the Israeli government’s lockdowns, Haifa seminary head Rabbi Avraham Kirschenbaum urged Israeli police to beat lockdown violators “ten times more”.

"Police beating up those violating the law should do so ten times harder,” he said. “From this pulpit, I urge Israeli police to give ten times more beatings.”

In his complaint obtained by America's Frontline News, Horowitz calls rabbis like Kirschenbaum to account for their dereliction of the halachic legal process.

“The rabbis only supported the Ministry of Health and the prime minister in their draconian policies,” he wrote. “They supported the policy of closures and wearing masks without investigating and without asking what the truth is and what is the halacha. They backed closing businesses and closing synagogues without wondering if it was really true. They didn't sit as a tribunal to discuss, and they didn't make any effort to find out the scientific truth. They didn't listen to the other side at all and didn't investigate how it is possible to save lives in other ways. They succumbed to panic, they believed in the establishment, trusted them and fully cooperated with them.”

When Pfizer created the COVID-19 injections in December 2020, the Israel government rushed to volunteer its citizens as experimental subjects. Those who refused to participate in the experiment were shunned, mocked, and discriminated against with state-sanctioned hostility.

In August 2021, then-Prime Minister Naftali Bennett accused the unvaccinated of “walking around with a machine gun firing Delta variants at people.” Even after he banned them from malls, theatres, restaurants, driving tests, libraries, schools and kindergartens, he proposed publicly marking them by introducing special wristbands in malls.

The government’s policy was unapologetically malignant, with Israel Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz admitting on hot mic that Israel’s “Green Pass” vaccine passports were a coercive measure and not science-based.

“In Israel, ‘anti-vaxxers’ became public enemy number one,” writes researcher Dr. Josh Guetzkow. “Many news anchors and media personalities said that anti-vaxxers were murderers or no better than murderers.”

But while such hostility is contrary to Torah law, many Jews embraced it when rabbis encouraged such mistreatment, such as Rabbi Dr. Aryeh Hirsch. Last year, Hirsch called for “stiff penalties” on the unvaccinated, who he says are “nuts” and “should not be tolerated.” Hirsch also urged coerced vaccinations.

“They did not sit with experts in the field of these vaccines (if any) or with epidemiologists to find out if this is true,” continued Horowitz. “And worst of all, they believed Pfizer as if it were a company with only good intentions.”

Horowitz also notes that the rabbis knew that neither Pfizer nor the State of Israel would be held accountable if people were injured from the vaccine, which offered little to no protection for low-risk populations.

When the Ministry of Health banned cheap, effective early treatments like ivermectin – with which Horowitz himself was treated successfully – the rabbinate did not intervene.

One prominent national religious leader, Rabbi Yaakov Ariel, made particularly incendiary comments when he ruled that a non-injected Jew has the legal status of a murderer.

“The rabbi encouraged those who are vaccinated to throw the ‘unvaccinated’ out of the synagogue and not allow them to go to the Torah, to pray or any other ritual,” states Horowitz, also noting that such measures for personal medical choices are unprecedented in Jewish history.

“Rabbi Ariel encourages every Jew to get vaccinated against COVID, even those who are not in any danger at all. This leads me to ask: Who will take responsibility if even one Jew dies from the vaccine, G-d forbid? Who will take responsibility if the vaccine destroys the fertility of our young?

“He ruled without sources, without medical knowledge, without mercy, without anything. This act borders on bloodshed.”

Horowitz submitted 13 reasons why Rabbi Ariel’s statements were Judaically illegal, chief of which is that the spiritual leader receives money from the state. This in effect makes him a “state servant” and creates a conflict of interest, raising questions if the rabbi is too loyal to the state to impartially judge a government mandate.

Furthermore, “no rabbi has the authority to compel any person to inject an experimental genetic drug into his body,” argues Horowitz. He brought sources from the Talmud and its exegetes supporting bodily autonomy, including “A man knows his body more than a hundred doctors."

“In this new ‘vaccination’ field, the doctor has no expertise and only the individual knows what is good for his body, and he is responsible for deciding for himself,” explained Horowitz.

Next, there was the matter of the injection’s harmful effects, for which neither Pfizer, the State of Israel, nor Rabbi Ariel are culpable.

“The vaccine is harmful - this is a fact. And there is no one to sue for the damages, and as long as we cannot sue Pfizer or the state for bodily harm, we must not take this vaccine.”

Other arguments brought by Horowitz include the Jewish legal requirement that laws concerning murderers must be judged by a court of 23 judges; Rabbi Ariel lacks understanding of the injection’s mRNA technology and blindly trusts the state; and vaccines prevent disease, in which case the vaccinated are protected.

Horowitz also quoted Rabbi Ariel as saying, "I hereby call on parents not to be silent! The right to the health of our children is better than the 'individual right' of teachers to infect our children and endanger their lives, G-d forbid!"

But as Horowitz pointed out, “There is no risk to children at all. There is no mortality and in most cases there are not even symptoms. The rabbi did not research the issue and it is a shame that he writes things that are not true and causes a wide audience to act against the position of the Torah on the matter.”

According to a ruling in the Talmud, a substance can still be considered lethal if it kills one out of ten people. So, too, says Horowitz, most people surviving the vaccine does not legally make it safe enough to be forced on others.

“We already know that there are many cases of side effects and deaths that are not reported in the news,” continues the complaint. “I myself know endless cases. It is worth looking at VAERS in the United States, which reports only 1% of the cases of a side effect, and despite this, the numbers that are reported are shocking (in Israel doctors are not allowed to report side effects, which in itself is a bright red flag). If we follow Rabbi Ariel's ruling and get vaccinated, including the children, who will we sue if these people are harmed by it? Rabbi Ariel? The country?”

“Therefore,” concludes Horowitz, “I consider it right to sue Rabbi Yaakov Ariel in court and demand that he immediately stop ruling on COVID-19 and repeating the crime he committed. He simply does not understand how much damage he is doing to the people of Israel.

“I also ask the representatives of the Beit Din to establish a body of 23 rabbis to sit and discuss religion and law as a small Sanhedrin, and decide once and for all on matters of COVID-19 and vaccinations according to the way of the Torah.”

But Horowitz’s complaint is being disregarded by the rabbinate.

America’s Frontline News reached out to the Eretz Hemdah – Gazit Jewish court, on whose rabbinical board Rabbi Ariel serves. The court did not respond to a request for comment on the complaint.

The Jewish court in Kiryat Sefer, Israel also did not respond to Horowitz’s complaint and could not be reached for comment.

America’s Frontline News will continue reporting on religious leaders who use their pulpits to persuade followers to submit to being injected without consulting dissenting medical experts or conducting exhaustive research.  https://americasfrontlinenews.com/post/israel-religious-leaders-evade-accountability-for-hardline-ruling-against-unvaccinated

Rabbi Winston: Re’eh — ELUL

How do you know you’re right? This was the question going through my mind during a conversation I had with someone a couple of weeks ago. He was stating his opinion quite strongly as if only he could be right, though I could not agree with him fully. He seemed to think that the way he saw things was the only correct way. It was clear to me that he lacked crucial information to know otherwise, had been biased by outside sources, and had emotional blocks going back to early childhood experiences.

To be fair, I had to ask myself the same question. How do I know that I am right? I too feel strongly about my approach to life and negate all others. Who’s to say that I, too, don’t lack crucial information to know otherwise, that I have not been biased by inside sources, and that I don’t have my own personal emotional issues pushing me in my direction?

The person with whom I was having my discussion is very bright. He is also very well educated in secular knowledge, of which there is so much. And even though later in a different discussion he bemoaned how many scientific studies have later proven to be fraudulent, he has a lot more respect for, and trust in, western thinkers than in the rabbis of the Gemora. So if something in the Gemora or a similar Torah source doesn’t talk to him, he immediately assumes that it is wrong, archaic, even dangerous to society. He doesn’t even consider that he might be wrong and that his feeling is incorrect.

It’s not that I also don’t take issue with some of the things that bother him. The difference is that when it comes to my opinion versus the Torah’s, I give way. When it comes to his opinion versus Torah’s, he makes the Torah give way…or assumes that it should. He certainly does not give any thought to what that might mean later, on his final day of judgment. He’d like to believe that there isn’t one, and that Gihenom is only a concept the rabbis hijacked from Christian theology during the Middle Ages, and then built it into Torah thinking.

This is a perfect example of what the Ohr HaChaim HaKadosh explained regarding the Aitz HaDa’as Tov v’Ra and the Aitz HaChaim, the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil and the Tree of Life. He asked why Adam passed up the Tree of Life for the Tree of Death, since G–D told Adam that eating from it guaranteed that he would die. He answered that the Tree of Life was actually the trunk of the tree that had no visible fruit. The Tree of Knowledge was a branch off of it, like all the other trees in the garden before the sin, and therefore far more appealing. As the Torah says:

And the woman saw that the tree was good for food and that it was a delight to the eyes… (Bereishis 3:6)

The Aitz HaChaim, the Ohr HaChaim says, tasted much better and made a person wise, not just smart. But a person could only discover that if they were brave enough to eat from its bark, which was a lot less appealing than the forbidden fruit of the Aitz HaDa’as. It is a mistake countless people have made countless times throughout history. My friend, seemingly, was just another one of those people, enamored with the “fruit” of the “Aitz HaDa’as” while shunning the “bark” of the Aitz HaChaim. He was, if you’ll forgive the pun, barking up the wrong tree.

THE GEMORA DISCUSSES the importance of fear of G–D in the educational process:

Rabbah bar Rav Huna said: Anyone who possesses learning without the fear of Heaven is like a treasurer who is entrusted with the inner keys but not the outer ones. How can he enter?

Rebi Yannai said: “Woe to the person who has no courtyard and yet makes a gate for the same!”

Rav Yehudah said, “The Holy One, Blessed is He, created His world only that people should fear Him. (Shabbos 31a)

Can a person be smart and arrogant? Some of the most arrogant people in society are that way because they are so smart. Can a person be wise and arrogant? No. It’s just too much of an internal contradiction to live with, not to mention that it is arrogance that usually bars a person from being wise, as the Torah says (after Adam became “smarter”):

And He drove the man out, and He stationed at the east of Gan Aiden the Keruvim and the blade of the revolving sword, to guard the way to the Tree of Life. (Bereishis 3:24)

As Dovid HaMelech said, “The secrets of G–D to those who fear Him” (Tehillim 25:14). And as mentioned last week, that means respecting G–D, respecting Torah and, of course, respecting those responsible for transmitting it from generation to generation. Lose respect for any of these and the secrets of Torah become a closed book.

And when we say secrets, we’re not only talking about Kabbalah. Something can be in plain sight, but if a person can’t perceive it, it is a mystery to them. The person with whom I was talking assumed that what he saw about Torah was all there was to see, that what he understood was all there was to understand. He just couldn’t see what I could see.

Correction, he just didn’t want to see what I see, or understand what I understand. How do I know? Some things are too personal to mention here, but in general, when someone wants to see what I am telling them that I see, they usually ask me more about it. They question me, push me to explain myself better.

They may walk away still in doubt about what I am talking about, but they do not walk away without making a concerted effort to find out what it is. They’d rather understand than run away from something that might have major implications about the way they are living their life.

Because, when you get right down to it, the real essence of fear of G–D is self-honesty, perhaps one the greatest traits a person can have. It’s what allows a person to face down the truth and give in to it once it becomes clear as the truth, regardless of personal consequence. It does not allow a person to fool themself into believing that they can rationalize away Torah, even if it doesn’t yet fit them.

Because here’s the thing. If G–D is G–D and Torah is Torah, we’re going to have to answer for all the times we acted contrary. And excuses like, “I didn’t realize it was true,” or “It seemed so antiquated…” or, “I was never taught the true meaning of it,” etc. won’t hold much water. G–D’s not going to look only at how much was learned. He’s also going to look at how honest we were with ourselves about what we learned, and our intentions and sources of motivation.

You don’t need fear of G–D to know the “secrets” of western knowledge, the Aitz HaDa’as Tov v’Ra. That’s why so much of it can be faked by overzealous or unscrupulous sources of secular knowledge. Man has done a remarkable job of learning so much from the world itself and accumulating vast storehouses of knowledge. But it will always only belong to the category of Aitz HaDa’as, and it will never have the wisdom of the Aitz HaChaim—Torah.

But you do need fear of G–D in order for Torah to penetrate your mind and heart, and if it hasn’t, it’s a good time to start looking at your self-honesty. And don’t be fooled into thinking that because you are getting away with something that you are not just digging your hole even deeper. G–D has plenty of patience, and is perfectly willing to let a person choose the wrong path in life their entire life. It’s a merit to know truth, not an automatic reality. That’s the real blessing Moshe begins with in this week’s parsha. It’s a curse to not know truth.

THIS IS TRUE any time of year, but especially now, beginning with Rosh Chodesh Elul. Rosh Hashanah is coming and we are starting to prepare for it. Well, at least those who take divine judgment seriously.

There are many ways to prepare for Yom HaDin, some are only technical, like looking over the Machzor in advance to be more familiar with it. Some ways are more psychological, like checking out how honest you have been with yourself about your pursuit of truth and living by its principles. Because that is really what our judgment is always about. That is why Moshe said in last week’s parsha:

Now Israel, what does G–D your G–D ask of you? Only to fear G–D… (Devarim 10:12)

In other words, what does G–D ask of us, only that we be honest with ourselves about the truth. Completely honest, because that will always lead you back to G–D and Torah. If it hasn’t yet, then you haven’t been completely honest with yourself yet.

Because self-honesty is about getting to the soul of the matter. Your soul of the matter. What does it mean to be honest with yourself? Who else are you going to be honest with inside of you? Who is your self?

We all know the answer to that question, and it is what the Arizal emphasizes on the first page of Sha’ar HaGilgulim: You are your soul, not your body. Your body is to your soul what you clothing is to your body, with one BIG difference. Your clothes do not have any say in how you feel or what you do, at least not like your body does. Your body has an instinct to survive, your clothes do not. Your body believes it has something to lose if it goes the spiritual route. Your clothes can’t even think about it.

What then is self-honesty? It is being true to your soul, because it just wants to do what is right by G–D. If that is not true about you, then you might want to try being more honest with yourself. That’s what the Heavenly Court is going to be checking out about you during the Aseres Yemai Teshuvah.

Ain Od Milvado, Part 15

MANY HAVE SAID that the best politicians stay away from politics. Politics is power, and power corrupts even some of the best and most honest people. You have to have a lot of fear of G–D to withstand the test of being a politician.

Politics also creates a major test for the voter. It is so easy to get distracted away from Ain od Milvado when it comes to elections and politicians. The people running for office give the impression that they are powerful people, and the people voting for or against them fall for this as well. It is an illusion, but a darn good one that has duped many a G–D-believer over history.

Even Moshe Rabbeinu complained about this in Parashas Devarim. Recounting the implementation of Yisro’s plan for the court system, Moshe reminded the people that they wanted it so, they could find a judge whom they could bend to their side. They wanted to use their influence to convince the judge to use his influence to decide in their favor.

Really? What about G–D in all of this? Isn’t He the real Judge? Aren’t the judges just acting as His emissaries on earth for His decisions? Were they planning on bribing G–D? And what is actually going on when a judge can be influenced in one direction or another?

The Gemora says that when judges sit to rule truthfully, the Shechinah dwells among them. The Shechinah won’t compel them to judge truthfully, because that has to be their free will choice. But it won’t stop them either from perverting justice, so that they can be held responsible for the damage they have done, and for forcing G–D to right their wrong through other means.

Not only this, but if someone is looking for a corrupt judge, G–D will arrange one for them. The person who finds such a judge will think it is their lucky day, and may even enjoy the outcome of their effort. This way when G–D comes collecting later on, He will be able to show them how much greater their eventual loss was versus their original gain.

This is why some people abstain from such situations and from voting altogether. They’re afraid of getting pulled in the wrong direction, as so many have already. They know how easy it is for the yetzer hara to go after the illusion of people with false power and, choose to be safer away from it all.

Most people just vote. Most people just judge. Most people just go to court. You just have to remind yourself before going in and when coming out, and every moment in-between that all of it is G–D. The legal and political systems are just another very elaborate way of hiding G–D’s hand in life, to give us another chance to reveal it.

Rabbi Kahana — Re’eh . . . Rosh Hodesh Elul

BS”D

Parashat Re’eh & Rosh Chodesh Elul 5782

by Rabbi Nachman Kahana | Aug 26, 2022

As the month of Elul approaches, and we prepare for the Days of Awe – Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur – introspection is foremost on the agenda. To evaluate ourselves. Who we really are, and have we observed the Torah in the best way that we can? And have our relationships with our fellow man lived up to what is expected of a ben Torah?

This process of personal introspection cannot be achieved without going beyond the everyday mundane flow of life. It requires one to consider and ponder on the Creator; what is He? And what is his relationship with humanity, more specifically with His chosen people – Am Yisrael and most specifically with the individual Jew.

Firstly, we have to clarify that we believe that there is a God – the first cause of all things; and that the Creator has chosen us, the Jewish nation, as his unique and only “adopted children” in this world and in the next.

Is there a rational, empirical proof aside from tradition passed down from generation to generation?

There are many proofs, but I will report on a particular one that caught my attention.

It was, I believe, Louis the 16th, last King of France before the fall of the monarchy during the French Revolution who asked a philosopher friend for proof that there is a god. To which the scholar answered with two words “les Juis” – the Jews. That if the Jews still exist after all that was perpetrated upon them then there is a God and He is Jewish.

Now let’s try to ascertain, in some very modest manner, the infinite greatness of the Creator.

The new NASA James Webb telescope has the capacity to look more than 13 billion light years in the past (a light-year is the distance light travels in one year). Light zips through interstellar space at 186,000 miles [300,000 kilometers] per second and 5.88 trillion miles [9.46 trillion kilometers] per year), the farthest we’ve ever seen into space. The image of this galactic cluster is known as SMACS 0723 and contains thousands of galaxies, some of which are as far away as 13.1 billion light years. The observable Universe has an estimated radius of 46.5 billion light-years (46.5 billion times 6 trillion miles) and seems to contain at least two trillion galaxies. The estimated number of stars (our sun is a medium size star) in these galaxies are 200 billion trillion stars or 200 sextillions, that is 1 followed by 22 zeros.

The people at NASA are overwhelmed with the results which enlargers exponentially the estimates of what the universe contains. However, as brilliant as they are, the astronomers of NASA do not get it. Not only are there 200 billion trillion stars in the universe, but more astonishing is the fact that HaShem knows each one and designates to each one a name, as the pasuk says (Tehillim 147,1-7):

Praise the Lord!

1 How good it is to sing praises to our God, for he is gracious, and a song of praise is fitting.

2 The Lord builds up Jerusalem; he gathers the exiled of Israel.

3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

4 He determines the number of the stars; he gives to all of them their names.

5 Great is our Lord and abundant in power; his understanding is beyond measure.

6 The Lord lifts up the downtrodden; he casts the wicked to the ground.

7 Sing to the Lord with thanksgiving.

Preparing Ourselves

Tradition teaches that Eliyahu HaNavi (Elijah the Prophet) will appear to the Jews before the arrival of the Mashiach in order to prepare our hearts, minds, and our military for the challenges that will accompany this revolutionary period in world history.

The rabbis of the Mishnah concluded that if Eliyahu has to prepare us for this transition then we have to have to be prepared for the appearance of Eliyahu himself. Hence, the last Mishna in tractate Sota reveals what the world will be like prior to Eliyahu, as follows (Mishna, Sota 9:15):

Translation in bold letters, followed by explanation:

In the times of the approach of the Messiah,

As we live today on this planet.

Impudence will increase.

Chutzpa expressed by the disrespect of young people to the elderly, unlearned to the scholarly, people to people and nation to nation.

And high costs will pile up.

There will be world-wide inflation where prices skyrocket as money loses its value.

Although the vine shall bring forth its fruit, wine will nevertheless be expensive.

This situation is a negation of the iron clad law of economics where the price of an item is based on supply and demand, that when supply is plentiful, and demand is moderate, prices drop. Today, the supermarkets, car dealerships, vacation spots etc., have readily available inventory, yet prices are continually rising.

And the monarchy shall turn to heresy.

World governments will deny the existence of a Deity.

And there will be no one to give reproof about this.

Corruption will be widespread and taken for granted, to the extent that even a righteous person who would stand up to criticize the situation would be suspected of being corrupt.

The meeting place of the Sages will become a place of promiscuity.

The parliaments and supreme courts will sell their favors for the highest bidder as a harlot.

And the Galilee shall be destroyed, and the Golan will be desolate.

In our own land the upper and lower Galilees will be in a state of destruction because the majority of residents there are now goyim – Moslems, Druze and Christians, and the Golan will be scarcely settled.

And the men of the border shall go round from city to city to seek charity, but they will find no mercy.

There will be millions of refugees in the world who will find no solace.

And the wisdom of scribes will putrefy.

The advice of the great Torah minds will not be heeded

And people who fear sin will be held in disgust.

God fearing observant Jews will be belittled and even hated.

And the truth will be absent.

Life threatening issues will be dealt with the false principles of secular values.

The youth will shame the face of elders, elders will stand before minors.

The progressive ideas of denying all time-honored values will destroy the order of society. Parental respect will be a thing of the past as will respect for one who has merited to reach old age and all time-tested values of what makes up a decent human being.

Normal family relations will be ruined: A son will disgrace a father; a daughter will rise up against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. A man’s enemies will be the members of his household.

Destruction of the nuclear family by the abominations, and abhorrence of newly defined gender species causing rife, discontent and doubt on our holy value system.

The face of the generation will be like the face of a dog.

Political leaders will be devoid of compassion just as a dog shows no sympathy or empathy even to those who raised his up.

A son will no longer be ashamed before his father.

The morals of our societies have developed over thousands of years and passed on through the generations, the most sacred of which is the solidarity and respect in family life, and traditions will be denigrated.

And upon what is there for us to rely? Only upon our Father in heaven.

There will be despair, hopelessness, in our ability to remedy the ills of our society and we can look only to HaShem to send His Mashiach to instill normalcy and Godly values in the lives of human beings before we self-destruct.

Sound Familiar?!

The Mashiach will propel the Jewish nation to the forefront in the battle to eliminate those ideas which will be perverting the world and dragging humanity down in the gutter.

Parshat Re’eh   Close Encounters of the First Kind

It’s always thrilling to me to ride up Mount Gerizim and Mount Eval. In the realm of so distinguished a territory, it makes me heady and ready to follow a willfulness unexplained since the days of Abraham. Up on top of one mountain, I can see and hear farther to the next as if it were standing next to me. These mountains play tricks, they speak to you. Exotic yet familiar, anonymous yet known; this place feels remote. Still, it was and is the portal of the Land of Israel, the center of the Via Maris. Down below in the valley is a place not mentioned in our portion this week (strangely so!), the ancient and bustling city of Shechem. Here lies the timeworn antique road used by our Patriarchs. Bisected, the road runs north- south in a pattern of ruler straight form dotted with consecutive stops along the way: Shilo, Bet El, Yerushalayim, Bethlehem, Chevron and Beer Sheva (further south is the Red Sea). Due east- west: the way of the sun (Vadi Tirtzah)- Jordan, Syria, Iraq- due west- the Mediterranean Sea.

Mount Gerizim and Mount Eval form a perfect amphitheater in acoustics and even in the way the mountains slope down facing each other, as the Children of Israel faced each other on the day of the Covenant this portion speaks about. The character of Shechem is of twined realities, of blessing and curse, of Dina that came to look but did not see. At this mid- point of the Land of Israel, the ark stood between the mountains, surrounded by the Levites. Here G-d’s voice does not emanate from within the fire as it did in the burning bush or at Sinai – there is a hidden aspect here, unchartered with no obvious miracles. Bad things can happen here if we don’t see. Here we must collect ourselves to the Torah- our everlasting covenant and fill up the battery of extrasensory perception. Here it is our voice that is heard.

The six tribes on each mountain had the sixth sense. This is the place of Yosef- who is represented by the number 6. Surviving in as carnal a place as Mitzrayim, he described himself as “I am an Ivri; I was forcibly carried off from the Land of the Hebrews, and even here I have done nothing to deserve being put in the dungeon.” Yosef identifies and remains righteous; even when life was living hell as his brothers sold him, as he was wrongfully accused. Seeing that image of his father in hard times and having the knowledge of who his father was as a Patriarch of Israel that desired Hashem and was close to Him by following His word, empowered him with the ability to see. Even when it seemed he was being cursed, he was ultimately blessed. In the long run, Yosef the “seer” was “freed from bondage”.

Abraham himself came to this place first- עד מקום שכם” “Up to the place of Shechem.” Ya’akov purchased it, Shimon and Levi redeemed it. It is the place of ultimate craving for G-d, of true redemption and telepathy. It is the place we are told to choose. In the case of Shechem Ben Chamore and Dina it was a cursed unbridled desire. In blessing it teaches how to identify with Torah and incorporate mitzvoth into your life as a way of life where you channel your desires into morality. We don’t just eat meat- we sanctify it.

The Covenant of the Blessing and the Curse come to teach us an important lesson for all generations. This might have been a one -time event but the message is eternal. There is a responsibility and accountability to being Jewish and following the Torah path. You need to see, even when it’s dark, even if you are sitting in a dungeon, even if this heritage site is being plowed at this very moment. Climbing up to Mount Eval today is not an easy task but I am willing. You must pass through many barricades to get there hoping you don’t get shot on. Israel has relinquished her integrity here and is not in complete control.  The stone slabs of our ancient time on this mountain still stand as the holiness of their commemoration mark everlasting glory even as they crumble. G-d plays hide and seek. SEEK HIM

Religious Persecution in 2022

 Beware "gender identity" fanaticism

To all "drag queens," "transvestites," "transgender" individuals, and their supporters, please heed the word of God:

"A man's attire shall not be on a woman, nor may a man wear a woman's garment because whoever does these is an abomination to the Lord, your God." (Deuteronomy 22:50)

Your behavior is an abomination. That's my sincerely held religious belief, and it's my unassailable right to assert it.

In a (supposedly) free society, you are entitled to dress and comport yourself in accordance with your preferences, but you may not dictate your subjective beliefs on to others.

Trying to normalize your behavior or self-proclaimed identity by forcing me to legitimize it is a grave violation of my religious freedom. It's a form of religious persecution.

You are welcome to self-identify however you please, but my belief system obliges me to identify you based on objective reality as defined by scripture.

Your objection to my right to choose reality-based pronouns -- as defined by God's Law -- is an infringement of my First Amendment right.

In fact, your zeal to enforce your skewed world view upon me is a form of extreme religious fanaticism, as there is nothing objectively or scientifically sound about your fantasy world, with all due respect.

Teaching children (in libraries, public schools, or entertainment) that your behavior and choices are legitimate and morally acceptable is a form of extremist religious indoctrination. It has no place in the United States.

Imagine a Catholic person teaching children about Immaculate Conception in the classroom. There would be a resounding outcry against the grave breach.

Teaching children that a man who identifies as a woman is to be regarded as such, and vice versa, is akin to teaching them that a man who claimed to have been “immaculately conceived” some 2,000 years ago is to be identified as such.

Subjecting our children to your indoctrination and normalization of new-fangled “gender identities” is akin to forcing them to regard someone as the Messiah because that’s how he identified, or because that’s how the majority identifies him.

People who choose to believe that are entitled to do so, but they may not impose that belief on anyone else.

My ancestors suffered unspeakable persecution at the hands of such religious fanatics for many centuries, and quite honestly, your “gender” fanaticism is beginning to feel like that same style of persecution.
Stop persecuting me for not sharing your beliefs.

You are NOT the messiah nor are you “liberated.” Your subjective beliefs about gender identity do NOT define objective reality. You don’t get to police which pronouns I use to describe you or others of your “co-religionists.” You are not the Grand Inquisitor.

Please do not sacrifice me on your unholy altar. Please don’t burn me at the stake in a modern-day auto-da-fé all because I won’t validate or legitimize your perverse ideology. And PLEASE stop trying to indoctrinate my children.

I’ll respect your rights by not preventing you from dressing or comporting yourself in accordance with your personal preferences. Please respect MY right to view you in accordance with my OWN personal preference and moral compass.

You may define yourself however you wish, but you do not get to define me or my view of reality.
Please don’t trample my religious freedom my pressuring me to call you a “she” when my faith obliges me to regard you as a “he,” or vice versa.

Thank you for understanding and respecting my essential human liberties.

Rabbi Weissman: Thirteen Articles of Scientific Faith

This week's quick take: The Mitzvah for Every Individual to Recognize False Prophets.

This week's Torah class: The mass-murdering rabbi, following orders, and more.

Bikur Cholim of Baltimore Claims Every Rabbi Supports the Shots and Hangs Up

The more these weasels talk, the more they incriminate themselves. That's why they stonewall.

Lots of important material follows the article, so please scroll all the way to the bottom of this email.

The Thirteen Articles of Scientific Faith

1) I believe with complete faith...that Science (as defined by those in power) is Truth.

2) I believe with complete faith...that Science alone explains everything, determines everything, and will always control everything. There is only Science.

3) I believe with complete faith...that this is how it is, this is how it always was, and this is how it always will be.

4) I believe with complete faith...that we should only look to Science to address our needs and solve our problems. It is not appropriate to turn anywhere besides Science.

5) I believe with complete faith...that all the words of Scientists (as determined by those in power) are true.

6) I believe with complete faith...that all the prophecies of Scientists are true, will come to pass as spoken, and must be heeded with unswerving devotion.

7) I believe with complete faith...that all the teachings of Science (Torah) are pure and true.

8) I believe with complete faith...that the Torah of Science will never be replaced with other teachings.

9) I believe with complete faith...that the gods of Science know all of our thoughts and actions. They can hack us and program us, as they can all living beings, for we have no soul.

10) I believe with complete faith...that the gods of Science are perfect in their morality. It is for them to determine who shall be rewarded and who shall be punished, who shall live and who shall die, who is essential and who is expendable, who shall eat and who shall starve, who shall be free and who shall be incarcerated, who shall have and who shall have nothing (and be happy).

11) I believe with complete faith...that all the medical treatments of Science – especially vaccines – are safe and effective, and everyone must take them always.

12) I believe with complete faith...that Science will bring redemption to the world, a Messianic age. Even though this utopia is delayed, even though the more Science interferes with the world the worse it seems to get, I will continue to hope to Science and anticipate its redemption.

13) I believe with complete faith...that after enough people are killed (depopulation) and enough babies are prevented from being born (reproductive rights, planned parenthood, and population control), there will be everlasting life.

I believe all this with complete faith and will question nothing. I will always Trust the Science.

The following message is from Uriel and Adi Marcus, who have been courageously fighting legal battles against tyrannical mandates in the United States and Israel.  Thank God, they successfully raised the needed funds to appeal the horrific judgment described below, but it is critical for everyone to know about what is happening and the implications.  You certainly won't read about it in the Jerusalem Post, the Slimes of Israel, Arutz Sheva, etc.

Uriel and Adi here!

On 17 August 2022 small claims court Judge Zion Saharai ruled against us regarding being rejected healthcare by a Maccabi Physician. He stated that a medical mask exemption from anyone's doctor is not a valid mask exemption. What does this mean? It means this court ruling will be used as precedence in support of denying mask exemption and you can no longer say, I’m Exempt (Ani Patur), especially in a doctors office.

We were fined 500 shekels to pay the doctor who would not treat us. We are willing to fight this judgement but we can no longer do this alone and need your funds for an attorney to file an appeal in the Mechozi [Regional] Court. We are therefore opening up a campaign to raise NIS 15,000-20,000 within 2 1/2 weeks. If we do not raise the money we will pay the fine and judgement is final.

Please pass this on to every group you know any amount helps. If enough funds are NOT raised we will donate the funds to the Above & Beyond Public Benefit Corporation and help families who are struggling financially here in Israel.

I don't trust science and I don't trust important-sounding titles.  I trust people who are trustworthy,  I trust myself to be able to tell the difference, and I trust the Torah to guide me.
