NEW YORK (VINnews) — Daily Wire co-founder and conservative commentator Ben Shapiro issued a stark warning about the impact of social media algorithms, declaring that they are “destroying America” and suggesting that prolonged time spent on X (formerly Twitter) could actually make users less informed and more detached from reality.
Shapiro argued that the platform’s engagement-driven algorithms prioritize outrage and polarization over substantive discourse.
“The algorithms are destroying America,” Shapiro said. “The more time you’re spending on X… maybe the less informed you are and also the more out of touch with reality you are.”
