Glenn Has The Right Idea

At a time when there is so much tension and hatred rolling around Israel, which overcasts the tremendous good in all areas, perhaps it's time to step back and ask yourself "What can I 'do'?" to diffuse the imaginations of the "SA" or yetzer hara, or evil one, however you want to refer to it.

Glenn Beck is very ambitious and actually puts his ideas into action. Sometimes we Jews can learn from those around us, whoever they be. He sends his viewers and partners in idealism a message at the end of 2011, about aspirations and accomplishments. I'll skip over some, and post the following:

"I'd like to leave you with a story I read on radio when I came back after the holidays last January. Read it and look at all the things we have done together over the past two years. I hope you can see how everything we have been working towards is about solutions born in the individual.

A man decided that he would change the world.
But, he wasn’t successful.

So he decided to change the country.
But, he wasn’t successful.

So he decided to change his community.
But, he wasn’t successful.

So he decided to change his street.
But, be wasn’t successful.

So he decided to change his family.
But, he wasn’t successful.

So he decided to change himself.
AND HE WAS SUCCESSFUL.

AND HIS FAMILY CHANGED AND THEY AFFECTED THEIR STREET.
AND THE PEOPLE ON THE STREET AFFECTED THEIR COMMUNITY.

AND THE PEOPLE OF THE COMMUNITY AFFECTED THEIR COUNTRY.
AND THE PEOPLE OF THE COUNTRY AFFECTED THE WORLD.

"And gang, I promise you, we are so close to seeing things turn around in this country and changing for the better. We just need to start with ourselves, then our families, and then our communities. If we can start at home, each and every one of us, we can change the world. We will change the world.

"2012 is going to be an incredible journey.

So, please, Beit Shemesh, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and all of Eretz Yisrael, let's work on ourselves and leave the 'other' to work on their selves.
