Chanukah at the Kotel

Chanukah at the Western Wall: “…and there we will bring a thanksgiving offering”

The traditional, annual Chanukah candle-lighting ceremony at the Western Wall Plaza will be held his year with the theme “and there we will bring a thanksgiving offering,” in the presence of rabbis, public figures, and the public who will come to offer gratitude for the miracles that happened to them “in those days, at this time.”

Chanukah is a great time for the general public to come take part in special and moving events that take place at the Western Wall Plaza and be part of the festive atmosphere that sheds light all over. It is also a wonderful opportunity to take a tour by the light of the menorahs in the Old City and tour the new sites of the Western Wall Tunnels.

Chanukah candle-lighting will take place every evening at 4:30pm (other than Friday, 29 Kislev at 3:30pm, and Sat night, 30 Kislev, at 7:30pm).

The events will be broadcast live via the Kotel cameras on the Western Wall Heritage Foundation’s Facebook page and website.
