In Eretz Yisrael, Thurs. evening, two events that have ramifications for Israelis and Klal Yisrael. In Yerushalayim there was a march of protestors along Rehov Agron, down Rehov Ramban and over to the Prime Minister's home near Aza. The chanting, clanging, yelling, a cacophony of noises by Israelis with an agenda and a mission, that some detest, some are ambivalent to, and some in support. These people want 'equality'. Where are they prevented from living they way they want to? Is it necessary to flaunt their lifestyle in the faces of everyone?
While in Be'er Sheva, Rabbi Elazar Abuhatzeira was 'murdered' while receiving the public. He was the grandson of the "Baba Sali". What is going on? This is so weird, but also must be another korban. The fact that someone not in his right mind did this reminds us of the tortured soul of the perpetrator in the Boro Park tragedy.
However Rabbi Abuchatzeira, a kabbalist, was able to intercede on behalf of many of his followers, and for Klal Yisrael in Shomayim; he is no longer able to do 'down here,' but only 'up there'.
I don't pretend to have answers, just an observation. Two murders sandwiched around something that is considered an aberation to the Jewish way of life by many people, and the Torah. It may be something, but then it might not. It's enough to occupy the minds of the Jewish Nation for many days to come.
